ELLENVILLE – A barn fire at 212 Geiger Road in Ellenville spread to nearby brush, resulting in firefighters battling both the building and brush fires.

The call for the structure fire was sounded around 2 p.m. on Sunday with the flames spreading to the brush area.

Area fire departments were called under mutual aid to provide additional water and manpower.

There were no reports of injuries and the cause is unknown.
