NEW CITY – A Westwood, New Jersey man pled guilty in Rockland County Court to three counts of murder in connection with the deaths of two sisters.

Alan Abad, also known as Alina Abad, 20, entered his plea on two different legal theories in the deaths of his aunts on Tuesday, March 24.

He faces 25 years to life in prison when sentenced in June.

It was alleged that on February 15, 2025 at about 6:30 p.m., Abad killed the women – Evelyn Augilar-Agustin and Anabelly Aguilar – while at 4 Gesner Drive in Spring Valley by striking them over the head and other areas of their bodies with blunt force.

District Attorney Thomas Walsh II said Abad “brutally and senselessly murdered two women,” and he will advocate for them and seek the maximum sentenced under the law.

The investigation was conducted by Spring Valley Police and the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office.
