PLEASANT VALLEY – At a recent meeting of the Pleasant Valley Town Board, the members voted unanimously to spend $1 million from the town’s capital reserve fund for the new town hall. The voters will have the final say, when the expenditure is put to a public referendum.
Work on the new town hall is approaching the end, and the town plans to shift to a long-term funding approach for the remainder of the work.
The $1 million had been previously set aside in the capital project reserve account “to reduce the amount to be borrowed,” according to the adopted resolution.
The new town hall is at 1903 Route 44 in Pleasant Valley.
