HYDE PARK – The person responsible for the bullets found in a toilet at FD Roosevelt High School has been identified, according to Hyde Park School District Superintendent Dr. Pedro Roman.  The February 18 incident resulted in a large police presence at the school to investigate the incident.

Roman says the district worked closely with the Hyde Park Police Department to identify the responsible party.  “Please be assured that we are addressing this matter in accordance with the District Code of Conduct,” Roman said in a district-wide communication.

Roman, in addition to crediting Hyde Park Police, also said, “The safety and well-being of our students and staff remain our highest priority. This incident serves as a vital reminder of the importance of the “See Something, Say Something” culture. Reporting concerns promptly is what allows us to respond quickly and maintain a safe and supportive school environment for all.”
