CATSKILL – A Greene County grand jury has indicted Farhiya Gaal and her boyfriend, Lameik Wilson with murder and manslaughter in connection with the death of Gaal’s three-year-old daughter, Fay Mohamed.
District Attorney Joseph Stanzione said both adults were also charged with endangering the welfare of a child. Wilson was also charged reckless assault of a child and assault.
On January 29, Wilson was arrested and charged with assault for the alleged beating of the child, who died on February 25.
New evidence then revealed through investigation by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office and District Attorney’s Office.
On March 9, the grand jury considered the evidence and indicted the two.
