Molly O’Donnell

GOSHEN – Village of Goshen Mayor Molly O’Donnell has announced that she is resigning, effective Friday, March 13th.

O’Donnell’s final public Board meeting will be held on March 9. At that meeting, the Board is expected to appoint Deputy Mayor Scott Wohl to ensure a smooth transition and to carry out the balance of O’Donnell’s term.

O’Donnell will continue in her role as Commissioner of Jurors for Orange County.

She said being the mayor has been an honor of a lifetime, and she pointed to some of the accomplishments during her tenure.

“Our police department received accreditation while I was their mayor and we welcomed two female police officers to our force, which was the first time in history, we are very proud of that,” she said. “Erie Street Park is another huge accomplishment that will be open in a couple of months.”

Born and raised in Goshen, O’Donnell was first elected Mayor in 2023.

This will be Wohl’s third time serving as mayor of Goshen.
