BREAKING… Cessna plane crashes in Hudson River off Newburgh

TOWN OF NEWBURGH – A Cessna aircraft crashed on the Hudson River south of the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge shortly after 8 p.m. Monday night.

Several fire and police departments responded to the scene with their marine units. Middle Hope, City of Newburgh and Storm King fire departments responded to the waterfront.

Police from the Town and City of Newburgh, New Windsor and State Police located the plane north of Steel Style.

Shortly before 9 p.m., emergency service personnel removed the occupants from the aircraft with New Windsor Police reporting they had the two occupants of the in a patrol car. They were being evaluated for any injuries.

No others were reported in the small plane.

State Police are investigating the incident.
