NEWBURGH – An underage youth who was among two who fled after Newburgh City Police attempted to stop their vehicle for a traffic violation was arrested after a foot chase during which he discarded a loaded, stolen gun.

The youth, whose name was not released because of his age, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of stolen property in the February 19 incident.

The gun was recovered. There were no reported injuries.
