LIBERTY – The Village of Liberty Police Department has arrested a Liberty man following an investigation into noncompliance with sex offender registration requirements.
Kyle Wilcox, 29, a registered sex offender, is required under state law to personally verify his registration information, including possession of internet accounts and identifiers with a local law enforcement agency. Still, during the course of an investigation, officers determined that he failed to meet those mandatory obligations.
As a result, he was taken into custody without incident and charged with failure to a felony of register and verify as a sex offender.
As per state reform laws, Wilcox was taken into custody without incident and released on an appearance ticket returnable to the town court.
