WHITE PLAINS – A Peekskill man who was convicted by a Westchester County Court jury of a felony charge of sexual abuse has been sentenced to seven years in state prison. That is the maximum sentence allowed by law for that crime.
Lucio Lituma Uyaguari will have a 10-year term of post-release supervision following his prison time and will have to register as a sex offender when he gets out.
Uyaguari was arrested in December 2024 in connection with the sexual abuse of an unconscious 20-year-old woman in Peekskill.
In a victim impact statement, the victim told the court on Wednesday that “This experience took away my sense of safety, peace, and trust. While he may one day move on, I will carry this pain with me for the rest of my life.”
Peekskill Police investigated the case.
