GOSHEN – A Forestburgh man has been arrested on felony charges of criminal possession and sale of cocaine, over two ounces of the drug.

Andre Roach, 46, was arrested following a year-long investigation into the narcotics dealing in and around the City of Port Jervis.

Following the arraignment, he was remanded to the Orange County Jail pending grand jury action.

The case was investigated by Port Jervis City Police, town police from the towns of Montgomery and Deerpark, the Orange County Drug Task Force, the County Sheriff’s Office, and the FBI Safe Street Task Force.

“We find that a small number of persons are responsible for the majority of illegal drugs present in our city,” said Port Jervis Police Chief William Worden. “We strive to identify and focus our investigative, patrol, and community resources to disrupt these persons and their illicit trafficking operations.

Hoovler said his DA’s office “will continue to dedicate all available resources to the apprehension and prosecution of those who engage in the sale of narcotics and attempt to profit from others’ addiction.”

Sheriff Paul Arteta said his priority “is protecting our families and holding accountable those who traffic in dangerous narcotics.”
