RHINEBECK – In the wake of the surprise announcement by Rhinebeck Town Supervisor Elizabeth Spinzia that she would not seek reelection, attorney Amanda Miller has stepped forward to announce her candidacy.
Miller will run as a Democrat under the banner of “One Rhinebeck, for Everyone.”
She pledged to “restore public trust in local government, modernize town services, and address long-standing quality-of-life issues affecting families, seniors, and working residents.”
She criticized what she called “a culture of delay and insider control,” claiming that “residents have waited too long for solutions to issues like housing, infrastructure, and public safety.”
Miller’s platform focuses on reforms to housing and zoning; transparency, integrity and term limits; community-first infrastructure and recreation; unity, collaboration and Rhinecliff; sustainability and community prosperity, and justice and fairness.
The Democratic primary election for town supervisor will be held on June 23.
