TOWN OF NEWBURGH – Newburgh Town Councilman Anthony LoBiondo has announced his bid for town justice.
He has received the endorsement of the town Republican committee to run as their candidate in November.
If he wins, he would give up the town council post he has held for five years and assume his role on the bench in January 2027.
“Public service is the hallmark of my professional life,” he said. He served as a prosecutor in the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.
An attorney, he currently owns a law firm in the town.
One of the two current town justices, Jude Martini, will retire at the end of this year after serving for more than two decades on the bench.
