LIBERTY- Beginning February 27, 2026, parents and guardians who make child support payments through Sullivan County will need to use online, mail-in, or retail options, as the County’s Child Support Collection Unit will no longer accept payments at its office.
According to Division of Health & Human Services Commissioner John Liddle, the change is designed to streamline the process and allow staff to focus on getting funds to families more quickly.
“There are plenty of ways to securely and conveniently make child support payments,” Liddle said. “Making payments online, through the mail or in-person at participating retailers also frees up our staff to focus on ensuring those funds quickly benefit children and their caregivers.”
Payments can be made online using debit or credit cards, digital wallets, electronic funds transfers, or services such as PayPal, Venmo, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay and Google Pay through ExpertPay.com, ChildSupportBillPay.com/NewYork or MoneyGram.com (code 14690).
Those who prefer to mail payments may send a check or money order, including their full name, case identifier and the county handling the case, to the NYS Child Support Processing Center, P.O. Box 15363, Albany, NY 12212-5363.
Cash payments will also be accepted in person at several local retailers: Walmart at 41 Anawana Lake Road in Monticello; Express Mobil Mart at 519 Broadway in Monticello; and Mexicana Supermarket at 5196 Main Street in South Fallsburg.
County officials encourage residents to plan ahead and choose the payment method that works best for them before the February 27 transition date.
