PORT JERVIS – Police in Port Jervis have identified the man shot to death over as Jason Finch, 43, of Port Jervis.
David Rombousek, 26, of Port Jervis allegedly shot Finch several times at about 12:30 Sunday morning and left him in grave condition on Hammond Street in the City of Port Jervis. Finch later died at Bon Secures Community Hospital.
Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler said they believe they have a motive for the murder.
“This murder that happened on February 15 where David Rombousek, 26, of Port Jervis, killed Jason Finch, 54, of Port Jervis, it appears the incident occurred over a drug deal gone bad,” the DA said.
Rombousek was captured by a police task force Sunday evening thanks in large part of civilian and police cameras across the city.
