LIBERTY – The Village of Liberty Police Department has upgraded its outdated camera system along Main Street and throughout the downtown historic business district.

The upgrades were funded with a grant from the State Law Enforcement Technology Grant program.

The new cameras provide officers with real-time views of the Main Street corridor and feature advanced recording technology, enhanced public safety and investigative capabilities.

Police brass said the upgrades will help deter criminal activity, support investigations, and improve overall safety for residents, visitors and local businesses.
