BEEKMAN – A pedestrian walking along Route 55 in Beekman died after being struck by a vehicle on Thursday, around noon.  The accident happened in the vicinity of the Pine Grove Motel.

The victim was transported by ambulance to MidHudson Regional Hospital while first responders administered CPR.

The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed the death of the victim.

No additional information has been released.
