CITY OF NEWBURGH- The Newburgh Industrial Development Agency released its 2025 Project Year in Review this week, reporting the most productive year in the agency’s history and highlighting significant growth in housing, jobs, and private investment.

According to the IDA, projects approved in 2025 represent $188 million in private capital investment, 282 new housing units, 117,167 square feet of commercial space, and 170 jobs, generating an estimated $360 million in local economic impact.  The year marked the first full year of operations under IDA Chair Mike Neppl, who was appointed in September 2024.

The agency said the projects reflect a strategy focused on redeveloping vacant and underused properties into housing, commercial space, and employment opportunities while strengthening Newburgh’s tax base.
