MAMAKATING- A 44-year-old Yonkers man was arrested on Thursday by the State Police in Sullivan County for inappropriate sexual conduct with a child.
The State Police’s Child Abuse Unit, working in conjunction with Sullivan County Child Protective Services, received allegations in recent days that Damien J. Bruce engaged in sexual conduct with a child under the age of thirteen. The victim was an unrelated household member at the time of the incident.
Following a thorough investigation, Bruce was arrested and formally charged with predatory sexual assault of a child and criminal contempt, both felonies. The investigation was assisted by State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation at Wurtsboro and State Police Wurtsboro barracks.
Bruce was arraigned in the Town of Mamakating Court and was remanded to the Sullivan County Jail without bail.
