TOWN OF POUGHKEEPSIE – Town police are investigating a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian that occurred Friday night near the intersection of Main Street and Raymond Avenue.  The accident was reported to 911 at approximately 8:45 p.m. on January 30, 2026.

Raymond Avenue was closed to vehicular traffic between Main Street and Haight Avenue (eastbound 44/55 arterial) while Town of Poughkeepsie Police investigated the accident.  The investigation included the use on a drone that was observed hovering over the Main Street and Raymond Avenue intersection at 9:30 p.m.

The pedestrian was triaged at the accident scene and transported to a local hospital for further treatment.  A town cop went to the hospital to continue the investigation.
