MID-HUDSON – On-time performance on Metro-North’s rail lines in 2025 beat projected goals.
Railroad President Justin Vonashek told the MTA Board on Wednesday that this is the latest in a long history of successful years.
“For the sixth consecutive year, Metro-North’s on-time performance (OTP) was above 97 percent as we finish 2025 with an OTP of 98.7 percent. We know that safe, reliable service is one of the most important drivers of both ridership recovery and customer satisfaction,” he said. “And so far in 2026, aside from extreme weather conditions the have been facing, our OTP is about 98 percent.”
On the east side of the Hudson River, on-time performance on the Hudson Line in 2025 was 98.1 percent; on the Harlem Line, it was 97.8 percent; and on the New Haven Line, it was 97.7 percent.
On the west side of the Hudson, on-time performance on the Port Jervis line was 92.9 percent while on the Pascack Valley Line, it was 95.2 percent.
