A 27-year-old Hyde Park man was arrested by State Police on Thursday for attempting to engage in sexual misconduct with a minor.

Investigators said that Gregory D. Graff communicated with an individual, whom he believed to be a minor, and attempted to arrange a meeting to engage in inappropriate sexual conduct. On Thursday, Graff traveled to a gas station in Middletown with the intention of meeting the minor.

Graff was arrested in the Town of Wallkill without incident and charged with attempted rape, attempted dissemination of indecent material to minors, and attempted endangering the welfare of a child.

Graff was arraigned in the Village of Florida Court and remanded to the Orange County Jail. Bail was set at $100,000 cash, $200,000 secured bond, or $500,000 partially secured bond. He is due back in the Village of Florida Court next week.
