GOSHEN – Fire that broke out at 5:40 a.m. Wednesday gutted a 2 ½ story home at 65 Wickham Avenue in the Village of Goshen. Flames shot out of at least one window and burned the side of the building while several other windows were blown out.

Several area fire departments were called in to aid with additional manpower and water as the zero-degree weather created a challenge for the volunteers to quell the flames.

There were no reports of injuries and the cause of the blaze is under investigation.
