MONTICELLO – For those of you who love coffee, especially Starbucks coffee, there’s good news. A Starbucks Cafe opened in Sullivan County on Friday, marking its first location in the county. Employees, as well as state and local officials, attended the ribbon-cutting outside the new store. We spoke with Parrish Martin from Starbucks.

“We are ecstatic to have our artisan coffeehouse here. Finally, with this experience, we don’t have this here, and this is a great addition to the community,” Martin said.

Assembly member Paula Elaine Kay and Jesse Robinson from the Chamber of Commerce presented Starbucks with certificates of merit. “I’ve been so excited to see this come to fruition. I wish you only the best,” Kay remarked.

“Very happy that Starbucks is in the county,” Robinson added.

Starbucks has a reputation for being expensive, but Martin says, “The price point here has always been affordable, and just come out and give us a try.”
