James Adelman

KINGSTON – Police in Kingston have arrested a second man in connection with a fire in the Catskill Mountain Railroad locomotive.

City police said James Adelman, 29, of Accord was arrested on January 11 in connection with the New Year’s Day fire that was set in the cab of the locomotive.

Authorities said they do not believe the Catskill Mountain Railroad was directly targeted.

Adelman was charged with criminal mischief as a felony and arson as a misdemeanor.

He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Kingston city Court.

Days earlier, police arrested his alleged accomplice, John Dwyer, 25, of Kingston. He was charged with similar crimes.
