TOWN OF WALLKILL – A 34-year-old state corrections officer was arrested on Tuesday after an overnight domestic dispute at 46 Imperial Park Drive in the Town of Wallkill during which he allegedly fired one round from a rifle.
Police said there were no reports of injuries.
A search of the premises led to the recovery of several firearms and a spent shell casing, and the arrest of Christopher Mendez.
He was charged with reckless endangerment, arraigned and released on his own recognizance pending a future court appearance.
