MONTICELLO- The Sullivan County District Attorney’s Office is participating in the state’s Safe Storage Saves Lives program by offering gun owners with free cable locks and educational materials.
District Attorney Brian Conaty said they are available at his office during regular business hours.
The statewide initiative of the Division of Criminal Justice Services is designed to encourage responsible firearm ownership by promoting secure storage practices that protect children, families and communities.
“Keeping our community safe means addressing risks before they become tragedies,” said Conaty. “The Safe Storage Saves Lives program empowers families with the tools and knowledge to store firearms securely. This simple step can prevent accidents and protect our loved ones.”
