GOSHEN – Christopher Diccianni, 57, was sentenced on Tuesday in Orange County Court to 60 days in the Orange County Jail, followed by five years of supervised probation for endangering the welfare of an incompetent or physically disabled person.

On October 2, Diccianni pleaded guilty before Judge Craig Brown, admitting that on May 19, 2025, he knowingly acted in a manner likely to be injurious to the physical, mental, or moral welfare of a person unable to care for himself due to a physical disability, mental disease, or defect.

Diccianni had been hired by the victim’s family to serve as a home health aide. The defendant’s actions came to light after the victim’s family reviewed video footage from cameras inside the victim’s home in the Town of Crawford.

At sentencing, District Attorney’s Office, the County Department of Probation, and Diccianni’s attorney, Amir Sadaghiani of Goshen, all recommended that Judge Brown impose a sentence of supervised probation without incarceration. Judge Brown disagreed and sentenced Diccianni to 60 days in the Orange County Jail.

As a condition of probation, Diccianni must complete 500 hours of community service and comply with the terms of a stay-away order of protection for the victim.
