YORKTOWN- A 32-year-old Lake Peekskill man faces arraignment in Yorktown Town Court tomorrow for allegedly stealing a vehicle worth $15,000 from a Yorktown Heights residence last summer.
Cops didn’t have far to travel to apprehend the alleged auto thief since Manuel Dooley had already been incarcerated on another charge at the Westchester County Jail and when corrections staff informed Yorktown authorities the Putnam man was in custody, detectives responded to the lock up and placed Dooley under arrest.
Dooley was arraigned and remanded back to jail pending Monday’s hearing.
Police said the theft occurred in August from a private residence on Crompond Road known to the suspect.
