NEW PALTZ — The Mohonk Mountain House held its 10th-anniversary Hudson Valley Gingerbread Competition this past December, showcasing edible structures created by professional, amateur, and junior bakers.

This season‘s competition raised $50,000 for the Regional Food Bank, surpassing last year’s $30,000 total and reinforcing both the power of local participation and Mohonk’s commitment to giving back. This year, additional community support came from M&T Bank, which donated $5,000 to the Regional Food Bank.
Over the past 10 years, due to the generosity of the Smiley family and the Mohonk Mountain House staff, the event has raised over $110,000 and has provided more than 325,000 meals in the Regional Food Bank’s service area.
