A Town of Crawford councilman and Pine Bush gun shop owner has been arrested for a second time in less than two months for allegedly violating a Family Court restraining order.

Town of Crawford Police said Jason Muehr, owner of Smoke Wagon Firearms, was arrested on Monday and charged with second-degree criminal contempt. This arrest follows accusations of violating a Family Court order of Protection that was issued on October 29, 2025.
Muehr was previously arrested for criminal contempt in the Second Degree on November 4, 2025, with that case still pending in court.
Muehr was arraigned on the latest charge at Middletown Court on Monday and has been released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to return to court on January 12, 2026.
Muehr was first elected to the Town of Crawford Board in 2021.
