ALBANY – Two public libraries in State Assemblyman Brian Maher’s 101st state district have been awarded state funding or construction aid.

Livingston Manor Free Library will receive $8,136 for installation of new subflooring and top flooring on the first floor and complete internet cable wiring on the second floor to improve accessibility and technology infrastructure at its Main Street location in Livingston Manor.

Morton Memorial Library will receive e$14,512 to replace its oil-based heating system with a more energy-efficient heat pump, improving sustainability and reducing long-term energy costs at its Pine Hill facility.

“These investments help ensure our local libraries remain safe, accessible and equipped to serve their communities,” said Maher. “From technology upgrades to energy improvements, these projects strengthen libraries as essential community hubs.”
