WHITE PLAINS – A 42-year-old Somers man was sentenced to 37 years to life in state prison for killing a 15-year-old boy in 2024.

In addition to killing Michael Raimondi, Jimenez Meza shot the teen’s mother and brother as part of a homicidal rampage.

Westchester County Court Judge George Fufidio also issued orders of protection on behalf of the victims.

Meza had pleaded guilty in October to the murder charge, two counts of attempted murder and several other related felonies.

On October 28, 2024, following a verbal dispute at the Raimondi household, Meza retrieved a gun from his car, returned to the home and shot Christina Raimondi.

After shooting her, Meza went into her sons’ bedroom and shot her two sons, Michael who was 15, and Matthew, 13 years sold at the time – multiple times. Michael died from his injuries.

In a statement read aloud in court by Christina, she said, “The grief of losing my son is a lingering pain that follows me every day. It is a fire in my chest and a knife in my throat; unbearable, yet I have to keep going.”

She said she has “his younger brother, Matthew, to keep moving for. But how do we get past all the trauma?”

The investigation into the case was conducted by the State Police, Westchester County Police and Putnam County Sheriff’s Office.
