NEW WINDSOR – Nonprofit organization Access: Supports for Living is launching a new initiative – Access: Center of Excellence.
The organization, headquartered in the Town of Wallkill, is remodeling the former Officers’ Club in New Windsor, adjacent to Stewart Airport, for its new program.
Access President Ron Colavito said the new initiative will include five institutes.
“The Center for Excellence is intended to bring greater training opportunities not just to our staff and team, but the community throughout the Hudson Valley and beyond,” he said. “We intend to hold events there, hold training symposiums, up and to include things like research models, continuing education-types of credits, working and piloting new models of care.”
Access: Supports for Living provides mental health, substance-use, intellectual and developmental disability services, housing, employment, and community supports to more than 20,000 people each year.
