KINGSTON – The Ulster County Sheriff’s Office has begun a program in the corrections unit to aid inmates improve their skill once released.
Sheriff Juan Figueroa said the “Ignite” program is in a special program.
“We opened up our Ignite housing unit and it is program to enhance training, GED. I’ proud of the sheriff’s office corrections division for putting this together,” he said.
The housing unit is for men only. Any women in the program participate in their own housing area, the sheriff said.
