WASHINGTON – Congressman Pat Ryan (D, NY-18), who has called out Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth on a number of occasions, announced on Wednesday that he has launched in an effort to remove him.
Ryan said since President Trump and MAGA refuse to hold Hegseth accountable, the American people must do it.
“From day one, Pete Hegseth has not only been a disgrace but dangerous,” Ryan said. “He came in purged senior military officers, politicized our troops, leaked classified war plans and put the mission at risk, put pilot’s lives at risk. Most recently he presided over a series of actions off Venezuela that are unlawful at best, potentially war crimes, and throughout has refused to be accountable in any way.”
Ryan said the president and MAGA “have been covering for him and are now clearly part of a coordinated coverup.”
