POUGHKEEPSIE – The second trial of Raheim Drayton, a/k/a rap artist Tito Montana, wrapped up Tuesday with the prosecution and defense giving their summations to the jury late in the day. Dutchess County Court Judge Jessica Segal, who is presiding over the trial, is expected to give the jurors their instructions Wednesday morning and then direct them to deliberate the innocence or guilt of Drayton.
A jury refused to convict Drayton of following a trial in Dutchess County Court in late October. The same jurors were deadlocked on the felony charge of criminal possession of a controlled substance – more than eight ounces, resulting in a hung jury, which is the charge he is being re-tried on.
