POUGHKEEPSIE – The City of Poughkeepsie’s annual Festival of Lights and Tree Lighting Ceremony is taking place today, December 5, 2025, at Waryas Park. The free event kicks off at 5:30 p.m. with music, roasted marshmallows, hot chocolate, apple cider, popcorn for the kids, and special visits from Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus.
The event will culminate with the lighting of the tree and a fireworks display.
Waryas Park is located at the foot of Main Street between the Mid-Hudson Bridge and the Walkway Over the Hudson.
