GOSHEN – All of the Orange County general election results have been certified, but one race has yet to be resolved.
Democrat Stephen Hunter, Jr., a Democrat, is ahead of incumbent Republican Leigh Benton by just 18 votes and that has triggered a hand count of the ballots, which will be conducted later this week.
Hunter received 1,999 votes compared to Benton’s 1,981 in District 16, which encompasses most of the Town of Newburgh.
