In Wednesday night's 100m freestyle event at the 2024 Paris Olympics, David Popovici won Romania's second swimming medal.
He finished third in the race, taking the bronze medal in that event.
The gold medal went to China's Pan Zhanle with a time of 46.40, a new world record. In second place was former Olympic champion Kyle Chambers (Australia) with a time of 47.48 and the Romanian athlete was third with 47.49.
David Popovici had a superb performance at the Paris Olympics, bringing home a gold medal in the 200m freestyle and a bronze medal in the 100m.
