He is coming back to the city of brotherly love. He is going to be signing with the Eagles practice squad and that was the Adam Schefter and there is a a notice that he is going to be getting elevated to the active roster. So yes, he's signed with the Eagles practice squad. Howie Roseman has to deal with the roster construction right now, but the former Super Bowl 52 champion tight end. One of the legends legendary Eagles players in their entire franchise is coming back to Philadelphia and my instant reaction was let's go. I am so excited to see number 86 back in Midnight Green because he was one of those guys who you could just rely on especially in the middle of the field and saying and this is no shade to Dallas. Got her Dallas got her is a very good tight end a very productive tight end for the Philadelphia Eagles, but when it comes to Zach hurts, he was that guy who you could just be relied. You could rely on every single time and when it came to his is, you know, great year in 2017 with Nick Foles as well as Carson Wentz. He was just a guy who put his head down and went to work and him now coming back to the Philadelphia Eagles is going to be great for this tight end room because this tight end room got a lot more thin now with this newest update on Dallas. Got her as it was reported that Eagles tight end Dallas got her is likely to miss a few weeks due to a sprained MCL. He suffered Sunday versus the Tennessee Titans and that was reported by Adam Schefter and Ian Rappaport as it when you look at Dallas got her and you know dealing with that sprained MCL that he got in that Titans game. It was just a matter of time until Dallas got her went back on the IR because he's been someone who has been a reliable target for the Philadelphia Eagles ever since, you know, we got drafted in 2018. It was got her and Zacherts being that dynamic tight end duo and now having Earth's come back with Goddard missing this time. I think he can be acclimated and be a good safety blanket for Jalen hurts as Goddard was during these first two games and along his career, but with Dallas got her going on this injury. We know that he has injury problems in the past. So the Eagles needed to get someone in here and there was no better guy that I wanted back in Philadelphia. Then Zacherts when we look at his stats from the 2025 season. It was a very good, you know, very solid season from a guy who is 36 years old. I mean he had 504 receiving yards over 50 receptions and head for receiving touchdowns. He was a very valuable piece to Jade and Daniels development, especially in 2024 and then in 2025. I mean the Eagles faced him three times Jane Daniels and Zacherts when they played them in the NFC championship game. And there was a lot of emotion for Earth's to go out there and play against a team that took a chance on him back in 2013 and won a Super Bowl with in 2017. But he is someone who I think still has a lot to prove and still has a lot more in the tank and especially going back to the team that drafted you. You can now end your career with the team that drafted you the team that won the Super Bowl. I think it's a very good feel-good story and it's a storybook ending to a guy who is someone who you know, he may not make the Hall of Fame, but he is a very big part to why the Eagles had a lot of success in the early 2010s capping off with that Super Bowl Super Bowl 52 win. So I am very excited to see Zacherts back in Philadelphia because it is going to be huge for Jalen Hurts and you know him trying to ascend as a more dynamic passing, you know threat at the quarterback position because Zacherts came in here. He played with him in 2020 at the end of the season and then in 2021. But now we're going to see the Hurts to Hurts connection now over these past couple or these next couple of weeks for very big important games. You got the Chicago Bears next week. We'll see what happens with Caleb Williams is if he's going to be available. But you also got the Los Angeles Rams who yes, they lost against the against the San Francisco 49ers, but I am not I'm taking that with a grain of salt. I still feel that the Rams are a big threat in this conference and being able to go against the Chicago Bears and the Los Angeles Rams. Those are two key conference games that the Eagles need to take advantage of and especially having number 86 back. I think it's going to be very a very interesting and a couple of weeks to see how Jalen Hurts is able to mesh with his former teammate now back in Philadelphia. So let me know down in the comments. I think when you look at this Eagles offensive line, I think that is a huge huge component on how this Eagles team is able to succeed this year because why the Eagles have been struggling over the past couple of years. Yes, you can call it play calling. Yes, you can look at, you know, Kevin Petullo not putting in, you know, the right schemes and that is part of it. But if this Eagles offensive line is not able to create holes for Saquon Barkley tank Bigsby as well as Jalen hurts as well to keep him up. Then this Eagles team is not going to be going much farther in the playoffs and trying to make another Super Bowl run. But I think when you look at this Eagles offense, you got to look at the early down versus late down percentages. This is a very interesting stat from Sean Syed on Twitter saying how the Philadelphia Eagles had the largest difference in early down offensive success rate versus a late down offense success rate to start the season. Since 2022 early downs are 31.5% third percentile and then late downs is 60.6%. Now Jalen hurts was able to be money against the Tennessee Titans on third down. He was very efficient. He was probably one of the most efficient quarterbacks and on third down during week two because of just what he was able to do against that Tennessee Titans team. Now, we know that he throw those two pecks. I understand that but that late late game winning drive that was something where that got attention of a lot of analysts and a lot of people that were really hating on Jalen hurts because you know, even Jeffrey Simmons was saying that you just need to make him play quarterback. Well, he went down the field with no timeouts and was able to hit Darius Cooper in the end zone as well. Some other clutch throws with Devante Smith and Don TV and wicks and was able to put the team on his back in a win that game and that's what Jalen hurts is looking to showcase every single week. So that a lot of people can just shut their mouth knowing that Jalen hurts is the quarterback of the Philadelphia Eagles and he is not carried by the team. He is the one that is carrying the Eagles offense. So gotta give Jalen hurts his flowers and going into the rest of the season. It's about the offensive line. If the offensive line can figure it out and this Eagles team can go as far as they want to.
