Video Summary
AI GeneratedThe presenter reviews a peculiar food product from Iceland: energy drink-flavored chicken wings. Despite the lack of official branding, the product is treated as a \"dupe\" for Red Bull. While the chicken itself is praised for its quality and moisture, the presenter finds the sickly sweet energy drink marinade unappealing, ultimately giving the product a 5/10.
How are we all doing out there? I hope you're all spot on. Now just when things couldn't get any
weirder than they have, come and have a look at this one. So I seen this and I thought of Red Bull
straight away. Iceland, chicken wings. Red Bull gives you chicken wings. Look at that. Energy
drink flavour. There is the serving suggestion, just wings flying in the air look. 500 grams.
So they're a dupe these. I've had a look at the packaging and there's no mention whatsoever of
Red Bull. Yeah, or is it another energy drink? I don't know. I don't drink them. I don't drink
energy drinks. Although my wife says sometimes you could do with it. Anyway, the price four quid.
Four pounds. Yeah. Anyway, let's let's take a closer look at the packaging. I think she says
something along the lines of rocket up your backside. Yeah. Anyway. Yeah. These are a dupe
energy drink flavour. Let's go around the back. So let's start with the spiel. Energy drink
flavour chicken wings cooked skin on chicken wings in a sweet and fruity energy drink style
flavour marinade. There's the ingredients there. Look. Yeah. No allergens or warning. This product
contains balls. Yes. There's nutritional information. If that's your kind of thing,
you can zoom in and look at that and study it. By all means, go ahead. So where's the cook? You
can do it in the air fryer and you can do it in the oven. It really is up to you. Any more
information? We've got a P.L. stamp there and it says origin of chicken EU and non EU produced in
Poland for Iceland foods. Polish chicken. Why can't we have British chicken? Why? Well, I'll
you why. It's all comes down to cost. It always does. Money, money, money always comes down to
money. Right. I've covered everything. If I miss anything out, I'll put it in the description of
the video. So let's get these open and see what we get. Money, money, money. There's a song there
somewhere, isn't there? So let's see if we can get in without scissors first. Oh, no. Definitely
a scissor job. This one. Yeah, definitely a scissor job. Let's get them. Let's get them open.
So cool. Yeah, sweet, sickly smell. I'm getting cool. Yeah, it does smell of them.
They're nasty. I banged my finger up, banged my finger about six weeks ago and the blood
blisters just working its way up. Look, if you wondered what that is, it's nearly there. Look,
anyway. Yeah, it does smell. It smells. Yeah, it's that's what you get. Look in there. Yeah.
Yeah, it's that sickly, sweet energy drink smell I'm getting. Right. Candidate for the
air fryer. That's where they're going to go. So I got them all out of the bag. You get 11.
It's an odd number, isn't it? So I'm just doing three. So these are a due party of an energy
drink or it would have the name of the energy drink all over the front of the bag. No Red Bull
was harmed in the making of these chicken wings. Yeah, but they do smell of the energy drink.
They do. Right. They are going to be red hot. Right. Let's have a look. It should be at sort
of a fingering temperature. Yeah, not too bad. That's what you get. Polish chicken. I've got
nothing against Polish chicken whatsoever. Nothing against Polish chicken. If I lived
in Poland, I'd be very happy with it. That's what you get. Look. Hmm. I like that. I like
how it's gone like that. Sugar's on top. Yeah. Right. Let's let's get over to the table and we'll
try and. So there's no there's no there's going to be no easy way of eating these. I'm just going
to pick them up and eat them with my hands. Obviously, you can use a knife and fork if you
want to. We'll see. We'll get into that one first. Yeah, you can smell it. Like I say,
you're probably thinking, oh, he's not going to like these because he doesn't like energy drinks.
But it might be nice on here. It might be. That's why we do it. Try to convince myself that.
Yeah, but I can smell it's like this smells like I have tried energy drinks and the cheaper ones
as well. It does smell like a cheaper sort of energy drink, you know, sort of. It's got that
very distinct smell, hasn't it? If you've never, never had one. So let's try this.
You think I enjoyed that? The chicken's lovely. I think I've just got these absolutely spot on
these ones. Chicken's lovely and moist. And that skin basically in the chicken was packed
full of energy drink flavor. I thought it might have just sort of normally when you get gimmicks
like this and you cook them with stuff like this, it normally just vanishes. Gone. The trace of
them is gone. It's not with these. The energy, the energy flavor is strong. It's strong. The force is
strong with this one. The energy drink, the flavor is strong. These chickie wings will give you wings.
Maybe not chickie wings. You don't want chickie wings. Oh dear, you want some. You won't like
eagle wings if you're going to give you wings. You don't want chickie wings. Yeah, Red Bull gives
you chickie wings. Oh no. Yeah, there's not a mention of Red Bull on there, so it's a dupe,
isn't it? The chicken's lovely. If you do like that energy drink, whichever one it is,
you're going to love these. You're going to absolutely love them. I can see, I can see,
not sort of stereotyping people who drink energy drinks, but in my head, I've got them watching
video games at night and they never get out of the rooms playing video games and they're just
living off energy drinks. I'm not stereotyping people. I just did. Just one of those things.
Yeah. Or people who go skating. Not ice skating. Roller skating. Not roller skating either.
Skateboarding. Yeah, people younger than me. I can see this being right up your street.
It's not for me though. It isn't. I don't think I've alienated many subscribers because
according to my YouTube studio analytics, the vast majority of people who watch me, the massive,
the biggest percentage, are over 65 years old. Go and grab your skateboards. Let's get on the
bike. Yeah, I'm glad I only did three bits because I'm just going to finish these other
two off for the respect for the chicken. But as far as this gimmick goes, I won't be buying it
again. If you like your energy drinks, then this is right up your street. So I'm going to finish
these. I'm going to fly over with my wings to the sink and wash this pot. Marks out of 10.
The chicken scores well. It's nice chicken. That one bit I had. I'm only marking it down. I only
had one bit of chicken, but it was tasty. I'm going to score on five out of 10. I don't like
that. I don't like the energy. It doesn't go with these. It doesn't go with chicken as far as I'm
concerned, but you might like it. It's purely subjective. It's just my choice. I'm just showing
you the food. I'm not asking you to buy it neither. That's up to you. So thanks for watching.
