The speaker focuses on brand identification, material testing, and condition assessment to determine pricing for platforms like eBay, emphasizing the importance of authenticity and transparent disclosure of flaws to ensure successful sales.
Got all my jewelry finds from the weekend. Let's go through these individually.
Okay, we're going to start over here in this tray. Let's start up here with this necklace.
This is a necklace that got thrown in with some other pieces. I was debating whether I wanted it
and the guy's like, oh, just take that piece. So he threw it in with several other pieces
that I got. So these are just acrylic. Hear how they sound? It's kind of a thud. They don't
tink like glass does when you tap them on each other. It's a nice graduated one. It'll probably
sell for maybe $15, $20. It's not a real high priced one, but it is pretty. This one's just a
casual, more modern bracelet. And I don't pick up a whole lot of these, but when I see them,
it's hard to pass up. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. It's not like high end. It's maybe a $15
to $20 bracelet. This one is a Harry Potter. It's got the Hufflepuff. I'm not a Harry Potter
watcher, so I don't know a whole lot about this, but I did look it up and it's about a $20 bracelet.
Nice charm bracelet and in really good condition. This one is an older Monet
silver tone. It has this etched charm on it, which I can't make out. TBM. TBM, I think it says.
What do you think it says? I'm questioning the first letter, but anyway, it has a lot of wear
on the back, as you can see, and it has a safety chain. It has the little hang tag with Monet on
it. This is an older piece. Let's see if you can see this. Let's see how it's just Monet stamped.
There's no copyright symbol. So this is pre-1955 and honestly, I don't know what price to put on
it. It's going to probably be like $35 to $45, somewhere in there. This one kind of looks
Egyptian revival to me. Nice heavy duty bangle. It has that concave look to it and some black rhinestones
and it has wear, but it's not bad. It makes it look kind of neat, I think. This is one piece I
really like the little wear on the edges. So that's a nice bangle. That one I'll probably put
at $40. This one I thought was interesting. Yeah, I really felt like it could have been gold. It
might just be gold plated. It's got the cable twist. You have to be careful with these cable twist
bracelets because you don't want them to look too much like David Yerman because
I got a Bureau for David Yerman, so we don't want that to happen to you. If it looks like
David Yerman, which is more the cuff style and thicker and heavier and like stones on the ends,
yeah, then you don't want to list it. But this one, I really feel like it's gold plated
and it's probably in the $25 to $30 range. Here's a nice older etched starburst
bangle. Hinged. Has this like tension opening. See that it's hinged. Has a safety chain.
This one's a $25 bangle. And another nice older, just a chain link. They almost look like half
moons. Not half moons, but crescent moons. And it is not marked, I don't think. Oh yeah, it is.
It's a napier. Yes, it's a napier. You can see it. I can't get it to focus on that.
Here's another nice one. This might be amethyst, might not be. It's just a serpentine chain
and nice thin one. It's not marked. It would be marked probably on the back of the clasp.
It's a fold over clasp. On eBay we call that the snap clasp. And a couple rhinestones with it. Let
me show you the clasp here. That type of clasp is a snap clasp, which I don't know why eBay doesn't
have fold over clasp on there. It should say that. That's what we all call them. Here's a nice little,
this reminds me of goldette. It is not a goldette. Has these little mother of pearl
discs on it with some little acrylic beads in between and rose designs. It would be marked
right here normally and it is not marked. Here's what the back looks like. It does have wear on the
back. That doesn't stop me from buying these because the front looks halfway decent. I mean,
it does have wear, but that's still a typical thing for these vintage bracelets and people
still love them. Look at this bright, fun one. This is a modern piece. I do buy modern pieces
What happened to the stone? It wasn't missing before. Oh, it makes me sad because these stones
are going to be hard to replace. I don't think I have this. And to match the color exact, I might
have to go back and look through my bags to see if it fell out. If you could see my sad face, I have
my sad face on. It has a lobster clasp on the end with an extender chain. It's pretty on cup chain.
It's got a little chain weaved through it too. Oh, I'm so sad. That one I probably would have
listed at 25. This one is just, these are gorgeous crystals. Hear the tink? That tink sound means
they're glass or crystal. They are so pretty. And it's got this like champagne colored large
faux pearl in between with a gold tone caps in between and a toggle clasp. So it's like
somebody took this and restrung it and these pretty crystal beads are big. They almost look
like 12 or 15 millimeters. That one I'd probably price at 25. These are all about the 20-25 range.
Here's another toggle clasp with these fun glass beads. This has got their kind of clear
swirl blue color and they got lava beads in between. These are actual lava beads, not like
the lava glass ones where they're kind of modeled like this would be like a pressed glass. That's
what we call lava as well. But this is an actual lava bead. It has these pittings and it's black
and it's matte colored. That one's probably a $15-20 one. Here's another one with gorgeous
crystals on it. These I believe are gammatic. They're all different shapes. They don't have a
set shape to them, kind of pointed in different areas. They do tink. I'm holding the glass,
that's why it's not sounding high-pitched. So it's a toggle clasp too. It's got a pretty toggle
clasp on it. This is gorgeous. I still think I'd price this at $29.99, I'm thinking. And this one
is marked. I don't know that mark, if anybody knows that. It looks like a C inside of a flower.
Not sure about that. Here's a typical rhinestone cup chains. It actually is an expandable one.
It has the little metal bars that expand out when you pull on it. These last longer than the
stretch bracelets. I just love this. I mean, that's a lot of bling. That one I'd probably put at $25
as well, maybe $29 to start. Let's go to this one. Let's start up here. This one is gorgeous. It's got
these disc beads, glass beads, graduated. Aren't they pretty? This orange color seems to be a little
bit harder for me to sell than, say, blue or pink or yellow. Orange ones I come across a lot, and I
think this is marked. So this one is marked sterling on the back side. You always want to look at the
clasps. If you have a 14 karat gold one, it might be worth about $30, $25 to $30, I think. It depends on,
obviously, on the weight. But you might want to take that into consideration when you're pricing
your necklaces, if the clasp is sterling or 14 karat gold or 12 karat or whatever, whatever
karat. Then we have this gorgeous, I love picking up chunky gold chains. This one's got some
rhinestone links on it, and this textured bead in between, like crisscross rhinestones. And I did not
see any rhinestones missing on this, which is very unusual. And it's not marked. It's not marked. It
has a lobster claw clasp. It's newer, has a little extender chain. But what a nice piece. It's heavy.
That one's probably, I'm gonna start it at $35. And then we have another one that's very similar,
has some rhinestones, and this unique design. I believe this was all from the same person,
like the person that wore these. She had very similar, you know, pieces.
Nice piece. Here's the back. It's just a linked chain gold tone. And again, it's not marked.
This one, if it hangs correctly, because it seems to want to twist in my hands,
but if it hangs correctly on the bust, see how that hangs? It rolls under. But if it hangs nice,
I'll probably put it at $35. If it rolls under, I even question listing it, honestly.
Because people do not like that at all, and I don't blame them. So here's another, this is a
curb link chain. And this one is brushed gold. It looks like somebody took a brush when it,
when the gold was wet and brushed it, like if it was softened, the gold. There's the clasp.
This is a fold over clasp, and it is marked napier upside down. Really nice heavy duty chain.
Napiers are always good because the quality is good. That's like, I'm gonna start it at $49.99.
There's a beautiful mother of pearl oval beads graduated. And I think this was a sterling clasp
from what I remember. I don't think the jump ring is sterling. No, I take that back. This one's not
sterling. But look, this has some little red stuff in it from the shell. It does have some little
specks inside of it. It's really pretty. Here's a cool glass polka dotted one. And it has these
little like pressed glass with red on the inside. This is a fun, fun one. And it has a hand on it.
I guess that's some kind of maker, maybe. I don't know. But I think this one was marked.
It's 1 20th of 12 carat or 14 carat. So I mean, that doesn't give it a whole lot of value. It's
not, it's not real heavy clasp. So it's still worth something. So that one I would probably
start at $35. And I did pay up for them, two pieces, this mother of pearl and this glass one.
I paid a little more than I wanted to. I would only wanted to really pay five a piece for them,
but that didn't happen. So it's not a big deal. I'll still be able to make money on it.
This one is a gorgeous lariat, lariat. As you can see, it doesn't come together on the bottom.
It's open. So you can tie it in a knot. You can wear it like this. We take this and bring it
through. There's a lot of ways you can wear these. But people love the lariats. And this is a nice
heavy silver tone chain. And you got to look for a mark on these because there are many Monet's
that make this and Napier makes a lot of these. This is another one I always pick up. This one
is not labeled. It's just gold bead, but it's metal beads and it's somewhat heavy. And a lot
of times they're on chain. So nice, just a nice beaded gold tone necklace. That one is probably a
$30 piece. Here is a glass beaded open bezel silver tone necklace, station necklace. Station
means when these beads are separated by chain in between and they stay in place. Station,
they're stationary. That's why they call it a station necklace. And I don't think it has a
clasp. If it did, it was a spring ring. But these are AB crystals. So this is really pretty. It's
probably a $25 necklace. Here's another rhinestone necklace. Oh my gosh. This is newer.
It has a fold over clasp. When I say newer, maybe 80s, 90s. But you can tell the cup chain on the
back is just really shiny and really nice and new. And there was no missing rhinestones. And I hope
I'm right, because sometimes I'm not. And this one is really pretty. I did not bring my black
light because I don't think these are uranium, which we're not allowed to sell on eBay anyway.
This has a nice clasp. This also has a 1 20th of like 12 or 14 karat gold. It's a gold filled
clasp. Pretty glass beaded. Just kind of a more dainty one. That one's probably a 25 I would mark
it at. And we have another station beaded necklace. These are just clear open bezel stones
on a bar link gold tone chain. This is probably a $25 necklace as well. Let's move over to this tray.
Okay, so we have another Hong Kong necklace. I just thought these were fun beads in between here.
If they have interesting beads, I'll pick them up if they're only a dollar or two, which this
one was $2. Always marked on the back here. Maybe it says Western Germany. Yes, this is a West
Germany one. A lot of times they mark it in a circle. That's how I could tell. And it's just
crackle plastic beads. This one I'll probably end up getting $18 to $20 out of it where
I normally start them at $25. Here's another gold beaded one, but this time this one is
Monet. Yes, this is a Monet and it's about the same size as the other one. Gold tone. Nice,
nice piece. Another $25. I'll probably mark that one at $29 or maybe $34 to start.
Look at this pretty layered one. This is, uh, I feel like this one's been restrung. It's laying
funky. I don't know what's going on there. It needs to be adjusted. But it has this older box
clasp on it. But you still buy these box clasps. So maybe somebody just bought it and it is newer.
It's still fun. Puffy heart. Kind of a puffy heart. Etched or stamped. Three layers. Glass beads.
Silver in between. That one's a $25 necklace. All these are pretty standard necklaces. I didn't have
very many home runs, but I had a lot of just, um, good selling pieces. This is a 1928 pearl necklace
and they seem to do well for me. This has the stamping on the back so you can see how 1928
finishes all of their pieces. They use barrel clasp a lot and here's what their hang tag looks
like. 1928. It is probably a $25 necklace again. This is kind of one of my misses. I thought these
were pretty cool. I couldn't decide if I wanted it, but I just thought the moon glow was so
interesting looking and the shade of it. It's just interesting. But then I got it home and I realized
there's no clasp on here and it barely fits over my head. Yes, I probably have a big head, but it
doesn't fit very well and nobody will be happy with that. It's hard to get off. It pulls your
ears when you try to get it off. So I could restring it and put a clasp on, but that's going to
take me time. And how much is it worth? If it had a clasp, maybe $30, maybe $25.
So is it worth the time for me to restring it? Probably not. I'll have more hours into it and
I'll be making $2 an hour. So let's move on to the last tray. Okay, we have some fun acrylic,
kind of a pearl swirl. I'm going to put these three together because they complement each
other nicely. It'd be a nice big chunky way to wear them, but this one is a little bit different
than the other two. These are asymmetrical and they're a lot alike. This one has a little bit
more of a squared off shape, but it's still got the angle cuts and they're heavy and chunky.
You could wear these two together. You could wear these two together. You could wear these two
together. That's the great thing about this. So these three together cost me $6, so I'm
probably going to sell them for $30 for the set. This is a Monet Cordelia. I need to look up to see
if this is not a fake. If it's a fake, I'm throwing it away because fakes are running rampant and this
is one that gets faked a lot. But you can tell by how it's riveted, but I'll have to go back and look
at how it's supposed to be. I do have a video showing this particular one, but I haven't seen
one in a while, so I thought I would just pick it up and take a chance. But it is stamped Monet and
the Monet stamp looks really good on it, on the bottom there. But you can tell by the rivets and
if you want to be for sure, go back and watch my other video. I'll link it. I'll try to link it here
or in the description. This is another fun one. This interesting shape. These four things on
the sides I've never seen before. It's just a fun pressed metal, probably brass. It has a
C-clasp on it, which is unusual. I don't think... a lot of times the C-clasps make it from the 1920s,
but to me this doesn't look 1920s. It could be 30s or 40s. Here's a beautiful heart,
AB rhinestone with faux pearls. Just a mini brooch. This one's probably a $15 brooch, not anything
substantial. Look at this belt buckle. I couldn't pass this up either. It's just gorgeous.
And I don't do a whole lot of belt buckles, but man, with all them rhinestones, I couldn't hardly
pass it up. It says 1997 Taiwan. I'm not positive on prices on buckles, so I'm gonna have to look it
up. Maybe $30 to $40. And this cute little grape cluster... not a cluster, no it's a leaf. I was
like, pop metal? Not really. It has stripes on it. I don't know if pop metal has stripes, but
it's missing a couple little blue rhinestones, but it's still really pretty, and I think I'll
sell it for $20. Here's a nice shield brooch. This one is nice quality. It has weight to it,
it has beautiful enameling on it. It's just done so well. Here's what the back looks like.
It's probably 70s is my guess, but shields and that type of brooch usually does fairly well.
Let's go to this one. The lady brooches I've been selling pretty good lately. I think this is JJ.
Yeah, this is a JJ one, and I think I'll be able to get $20 for it. I'm gonna look it up,
though, because a lot of the lady brooches, some of them go higher. Here's another 1928 brooch.
It has this black... it's probably glass. Yeah, it feels like glass. You can see the back has the
stampings on it, and nice roll clasp, a couple rhinestones in it. This one is gold filled ring.
It has a black onyx, I believe that's what that is, and it's just so shiny, so pretty.
That's a bigger ring, pretty. Probably 35 on that one, maybe more depending on the weight.
Isn't this a fun pendant? It's a triple face, and I looked at this, I can't decide. It's just,
it's heavier than acrylic, like it's a heavy acrylic, or it's... I don't think it's glass,
but it has a slight coolness to it. I just think it it's a heavy acrylic, maybe resin.
Here's some Avon earrings. These do well. I kind of had these before, and with this being in its
original box, these are clip. I thought I would pick them up, they were reasonable. This belt,
I'm not going to get out, but it's pretty cool. It's got lion heads on it, and it has this patina
to it. I think that's just from the gold changing over time, but it's chunky, and it's kind of got
Egyptian revival look to it, almost like a Greek key panel here. That's a fun one, and that one I
don't know the price, because I don't sell belts very often. Here's a nice twist chain. What do
they call these? Diamond twists? I don't get this type of chain very often, but I do like it,
and people do like them too. There's nothing on it, no pendant. I might use it for a pendant,
so I pick them up. If I can find 18 inch, because 18 inch is the number one seller of chains,
people look for them the most, so I try to pick them up when I see them, because I never have
enough. So here we go, there's the four boxes of stuff I got this weekend. What do you think?
What's your favorite piece? Did I show the Chico's one? I didn't even show the Omega one, did I?
This Chico's one is absolutely gorgeous. I don't pick up Chico's all that often,
but how could I pass this up? It's got little wedding cake beads on it. I've never known
Chico's to use wedding cake beads. Let's take a look at them closer. They're a newer version of
a wedding cake bead. They got the gold striping adventurine on them, and it's got like an antique
look to it, and an antique tassel type. But it is newer, modern, but it has layers to it. It has
three layers, and a lobster claw, and here's the hang tag. It says Chico's. I love this piece,
this is one of my favorites from this weekend. And then I also have this Omega necklace.
Not sure if it has... I debated about getting it. It has some gold tone loss on it,
but Omega chains sell pretty well for me. So I'm gonna have to disclose it, and hopefully the buyer
really looks and reads the description, because sometimes that doesn't happen. But it's still
big and chunky, and I think it has some wear left, or some... I think you can still wear it
and get some good use out of it. What do you think? Would you sell this piece in the condition
it is? It's not bad. The back has some scratches on it, but obviously that's going to the backside.
Anyway, that's my finds from the weekend. Tell me again what your favorite piece is in the
description, in the comments below. And thanks for joining me today, and checking out my pieces from
the weekend. I hope to see you on the next one. Don't forget to leave a comment, and like,
and subscribe. See you then!
