Valentine's Day...

put your wallet back put it back you do not need these items for Valentine's Day you do not need to be spending any money for Valentine's Day I don't care if you doing a Valentine's Day with your girls I don't care if you're doing a Valentine's Day with with your spouse or multiples whatever you got going on if you're still within the theme of saving money and making sure your finances are in order you do not need to buy anything for Valentine's Day everybody it's your girl Wanda welcome back so let's let's be real I hate Valentine's Day honestly I hate all holidays okay hate is a strong word I don't celebrate holidays but the only thing I will celebrate is birthday and yeah other than that I've been on the internet for a minute and I don't think I've ever not once came on an internet and celebrated Valentine's Day and that's on purpose that's for a reason I celebrated Valentine's Day once once about I want to say a good 8 to 10 years ago now first and last time why I don't know there's something about Valentine's Day that is very cheesy that's very performative that's very cringe U if I didn't like this holiday before I really despise it now because the hauls are crazy because now it's literally junk are being thrown down especially young people's throats when it comes to putting baskets for gifts and it's literally nothing you actually need in these baskets it's it's just content I always seen social media and especially like Tik Tok and Instagram and stuff like that as content I've never taken them for a grain of salt maybe because I'm on this side of the field and I've been in this for a while so I've always just seen it as content but for those who don't know it content and those who really go out and try to emulate those huls and all those like it's ridiculous so basically these baskets are to be given to other people and they fill it with everything pink everything heart everything girly and all of that but none of these items really make sense none of these items really are purposeful there's Just Junk Maybe somebody will use a couple things out of it I feel like the only reason it will be purposeful if you actually ask the person what they would like in the box but then again the whole purpose of giving a gift is to show your appreciation to the person give them some things that they like but then again as a good friend you should know what they like but if you don't know what they like and you just put in random things and there are things that are junk cheat about to break useless is that really being a good friend or are you just doing performative actions in order to celebrate Valentine's Day or to make content create content around Valentine's Day which in return will make your audience want to go buy items for their friend and it'll be items that they don't appreciate and the whole cycle just starts over again so what's the real purpose of this again oh yeah performative bet got it oh speaking of over performative a lot of the videos and the pictures you see on Valentine's Day they're not even real like it's not like somebody's really doing it for them so why do we put oursel in that pressure as females to try to always pretend you know a guy is doing for us why is it that serious is it am I missing something is it that serious it's not I have yet to seen something that is Valentine's Day theme that is excellent quality you know why because they know it is only here for a day they know you're not going to buy the thing thinking of longevity they already know it's going to be a used on for that day or a couple of hours and then tossed away everything Valentine's Day related is literally trash is literally low quality is literally throw it in a bin don't ever see it and go ahead and purchase it again next year it is not meant to last Valentine's Day is not a season it's not like Christmas where you know from December or from Black Friday up until January something you have your Christmas lights up and your trees and stuff like that it's not like that it's literally a day where a lot of trash a lot of low quality item flood our home flood our fee to think that we need them if you want to go get roses okay go get roses I guess but me personally I don't care and I don't like to be giving flowers because I think it's just a waste honestly be giving flowers is like it does nothing to me doesn't excite me like it does absolutely nothing to me because I already know in about a couple of days those flowers are going to die because they don't have roots on them they're cut at the stem you cannot possibly have roses in water forever that's just not that's just not how life goes you know they're going to eventually die and being the fact that prices of roses shoots up during Valentine's Day is even more of a waste they definitely increase the price because flowers are in demand around that time according to Nas tec.com the average consumer would spend $192 180 back in 19 1989 about 1 billion cut roses were sold annually in the US by 2023 that has risen to roughly 2.8 billion roses that's enough to be giving every adult in the country a bouquet of 10 roses that's a lot of roses the national retail Federation estimates people would spend about $2.6 billion on Valentine's Day flowers and the Society of American florist says that about 250 million roses are produced for the holiday so even though I don't celebrate Valentine's Day I am still a content creator so what I have done in order for me to still give you the essence the aesthetic the vibe of Valentine's Day is I'm making the entire month of February Valentine's Day theme when it comes to my nails if you don't know I do have a nail page that is only dedicated to me doing my nails and every day from the 1st to the 28th of February I do drop a new video on different I guess Valen Valentine's Day themed nails pinks whites you know Reds you know hearts and stuff like that so you guys can still have an aesthetic without me having to go out and purchase things just for Content I already have those main primary colors of nail polishes so I don't need to go and buy anything extra in order for me to still provide content for you guys if you have a significant other do some homemade items all in all I just want to make sure my girls know that you do not need all of those extra spending on Valentine's Day because we have a goal we have to stay strong we have to stay connected when it comes to um or I guess disconnected when it comes to excessive consumerism because one we do not have the space in our home for it and two our wallet do not want to be spending that money
