This is THE week... NFL Game Picks for Week 5 of the 2026 NFL Season | Records Predictions
Oct 9, 2026
Today we are choosing our game picks
for week number 5 of the 2026 NFL season.
If you guys are new, feel free to like, comment, and subscribe.
Let's get right into this.
Currently we are sitting at a very dead even 24-24 record.
I started out red hot with an 11-5 week,
then I ended up only getting 6 wins the next.
This past week I was only minus 2 compared to the average,
but ended up almost getting
a nice upset victory there with Las Vegas didn't end up getting
that one but that would have turned
the tide I feel like that would have been a really good victory
but let's get into this starting out
with the Dallas Cowboys hosting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
to me this is a quick and simple and
easy one that means the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will probably win
but the Dallas Cowboys are going to
take home the W there they're a much better team I'm glad
to see them win a really strong bout
against the Texans the Texans just as a whole are very underperforming
and that's kind of
sucky to see as a team that I thought might
actually make a strong push this year but
Dallas being able to make a strong impression there
and you know they're pretty much a one
field goal away from being four and one at this point
which is quite a good place to be next game
we have Philadelphia and Jacksonville
this game I believe is in Jacksonville like if I end up
pulling it up and seeing if it's going
to be the london game it is a london game which is still
home for jacksonville but you don't have
to worry about the the muggy weather and all that uh
jacksonville still kind of at home they're red hot
right now philadelphia somehow fleeced a second
round pick from the baltimore ravens
but you know honestly it it makes a lot of sense i'm going to
go after the jacksonville jaguars here again it's like
a home game to them like that's the whole
entire point they're so used to london
at this point philadelphia there's a lot of things that
are dysfunctional in the organization right now
in my opinion I don't personally think Jalen hurts
the future I've kind of had that opinion
for a while based on my way too early mock drafts always
having QBs for him but I still think
that the Jaguars have just proven me dead wrong I've had
some other picks that have been pretty damn good
so I'm happy being wrong about the Jags because
I have enough people who I like who are Jags fans
so you know if there's a team to be wrong about
it's actually one that's more of an underdog
and I like that quite a bit rather than one that's
kind of overrated given my stellar track record
with upsets I'm still looking for my marquee upset
victory and this week I'm calling the New York Giants
to beat the Washington Commanders given
all of Washington's quarterback injuries I do think
this is a prime opportunity for a team that
has scrapped out quite a few close
but quality wins to end up doing so again if we check it out
over on CallSheet, the New York Giants only have a 38% chance to win.
If you were to choose for
them to win, which is nice on CallSheet
because you just click yes on the New York Giants winning
and you put $25 down, when you use the code HMS
or you click that link in the description to make
it easy, you will get $55 added to your account instantly.
So worst case scenario, the Washington
Commanders end up beating the Giants.
You still net 30 positive. But if the Giants pull off the
upset, which I'm praying they do,
you end up getting almost a hundred and ten dollars just
for putting twenty five down.
So make sure to go and use that code when you do sign up, when you
trade twenty five. I do really like Koshy
because this is peer to peer trading. So these numbers are
not designed and set by a sports book.
This is peer to peer because it's based on what people's
opinions are. And I think people's opinions
are going to change as there are certain things like
Stefan Diggs not showing up to practice
that can end up shifting what their opinion is so take
advantage of the odds
while they are good like this go use that code HMS when signing up and
using that $25 to get 55 add
to your account instantly all right the bout of the 0 and 4
underwhelming teams the Houston Texans
and the Tennessee Titans the Titans have been pretty close
they're back back-to-back games both I believe
were about one score I think it was 18 to 24
versus the Ravens. And then of course they had
that bad interception to have them lose versus
the Giants. I don't think they're as bad as the record really suggests,
but neither are the Houston
Texans. And in my opinion, it's put up or shut up time for the Texans.
It's very intriguing to see
if they do lose, how this would end up panning out.
I'm going to have the Texans get their first
win of the year. I just think that they're a better team,
even though they just haven't been
able to put it all together the Cincinnati Bengals
the only time I end up rooting against my Steelers
they always Steelers always end up putting some belt to ass
and of course it's AFC North so I
probably should have expected it Miami you
are in Miami that that is upset potential but I don't
think after losing two in a row the Bengals
are going to be in that mood to lose their third in
a row to Miami Dolphins of all
so we're going to go after the Cincinnati Bengals here it's just
The Dolphins aren't put together enough,
but I still really like the pieces I've seen.
Chris Bell was a toe out of bounds from being,
you know, able to have a really strong, big
performance with an extended play for a touchdown.
So there's a lot of things to like about Miami right now.
Blake Wills looks really good.
I feel very comfortable with where they're at,
but it doesn't mean that it's going to
equate to wins.
Vegas goes to New England.
New England ends up pulling off a really strong comeback.
And I believe in my last video,
I ended up saying this is come, this is a, you know,
upset potential in division,
but this is going to be a very interesting game.
The Vegas Raiders have been able to produce a lot with very little.
The Patriots do have some pretty crucial injuries
that could be affecting whether they're going
to perform at maximum potential.
I do think that, you know,
usually when you have a really high, high, like a big upset,
you usually end up seeing them take
a dip rather than maintain that momentum.
I'm going to call an upset and I'm still going
to believe in the Raiders here.
They're going to pull off the upset versus the New England Patriots.
And the coach of the year last year in Vrabel
is going to be beaten by, in my opinion, the
coach of the year this year in Kubiak.
That was my selection.
Some of my other ones have not come to fruition,
but some I had a good feel on.
And luckily, I feel like the Raiders and I always have a good vibe.
Like maybe maybe one day we can end up talking
about like doing something with Las Vegas
Raiders.
That'd be a cool dream because I got enough people
who are around that I end up listening
to that are big Raiders fans.
They've taught me a lot
and it's an organization I've like continually crept in terms of my
interest in my life and love for, so to speak.
All right, Minnesota, New Orleans,
New Orleans just took a belt and there's like, I think
it was Pauly Market putting up the video
of Pennix giving belt to Tyler Shuck.
You can't stand on that.
and a hurricane's coming in, like, to the Gulf,
I think it's put-up-or-shut-up time for them, too,
because they're a team that came out red-hot,
and they haven't been able to do much since.
They need to get that momentum.
Minnesota's been winning games, but it's pretty clear,
Kyler Murray, everybody's like,
this is not our franchise quarterback.
In my opinion, there's going to be a chance
that they don't necessarily end up, you know,
maintaining this momentum.
And so we're going to call an upset
with the New Orleans Saints
beating the Minnesota Vikings this week.
then we have the cleveland browns playing
the new york jets the browns are on a heater the jets
tyson bay like all of a sudden ben johnson pulls everything out
of the bag to keep the
the bears in line
and just you know continue kicking ass love that right i mean again i'm
like over two on like these are my picks
of the week granted i did say it was a game where i
didn't think the jets were going to win
but you know gave that floor for the call sheet being
like you know you're still got net positive 30 at the very minimum
but still still sad you know
it still sucks to see that uh
but yeah the Jets are still a very good team I think they could
pull off an upset here undoubtedly
but I do think that the Cleveland Browns are just they're a little
bit too consistent you look at their edge rushers
the top 10 edge rushers the NFL right now for
pressure rate to the top 10 are from the Browns
and neither are Jared Burse so shout out to Isaiah
McGuire is as many times you can get on me
for Braden Swinson you can always I can always counter
with Isaiah McGuire there will always be that aspect
but um jokes aside I think the Cleveland
Browns are just a very they're they're a team with momentum
and a floor to where Deshaun doesn't
necessarily need to elevate
but it looks like Todd Munkin's system really has worked for him
and I'd be excited to see what an actually better quarterback would
do in this system all right next
game we have Indianapolis going
to Pittsburgh I just don't believe in Indy never have I've always
wanted I had my hot take was the Jets would have
a better selection than the Colts would which means
the highest pick of the Jets would be the Colts
and I'm gonna stick to it Pittsburgh they end up
having a really scrappy battle for an AFC North bout
but at the end of the game we started seeing
the offense open up and allow the players to play
the way that they should play I feel like it was
a very sluggish first half
and we finally got to see what this team could do it was finally like
the light flickered so we're gonna have
the Pittsburgh Steelers win at home versus Indianapolis
Washington Commanders playing the New York Giants
of course Washington had all their injuries so
I'm gonna have that be a minute reason as to why I was wrong about them
but I think the New York
Giants they're a they're a scrappy team
and again this is an in-division game we'll see how everything
plays out jayden's don't throw in some balls
but i mean honestly i think the new york giants are
going to continue to be able
to scrap out some quality victories here even if they're not
beautiful i think they still end up taking the w number
or excuse me the next game we have denver
in los angeles denver loses a pretty close one to the chart
or excuse me to the niners they're
staying in california i think this could
be the chargers bounce back game but with joe alt having
his injury run this team is just too good
so we're gonna have denver go and beat the chargers
there at home again my prediction of the chargers being the lowest
and or the worst team in the
division is coming to fruition it's funny
because i did the records predictions and i still wasn't
able to make that happen but my hot takes end up working out
so some things work some things don't
chicago green bay um i mean chicago's in such a heater
but granted green bay it's lambeau field
we could see the resurgence
of green bay i will end up going with chicago here though
they just provide a floor like again you lose the minnesota
when everything you don't get the game
plan you don't get to have the reps in there
with your backups there's definitely that element of
where they got caught off guard that i can give them
a little slack for and flores going up
against an unprepared offense can be a nightmare
but outside of that they've really shown up and
in my opinion Green Bay has just
been extraordinarily sluggish so I'm going to end
up going with Chicago there Detroit at Arizona
um upset alert for Arizona they could end up pulling
off the dub here gonna be completely honest I think
the Detroit Lions are an absolute ---- show
but they do have a reputation of hold whereas Arizona
in my opinion doesn't we're gonna have
detroit pulling the w there
but again watch out for this one being an upset territory then we have
san francisco playing the seattle seahawks
and san fran has just been really consistent seattle
um they've been up and down i think off the top
of my head i think they end up being beaten by
the washington commanders of all teams
but they're at home not necessarily a team that's as dominant
at home as they are on the road we're going to have
the san francisco 49ers go to town and claim
their fifth win in a row I do think
this is a very uncomfortable game for me to choose a victor
Seattle easily can end up pulling
this one off I think they have the better roster but I don't
think that the San Francisco 49ers with the condition
that they're in the way that they're
playing through injuries and the way
that they're just I think Shanahan's the best offensive
strategist in the NFL like it's one of the best
that we've ever seen in terms of consistency
we're going to have San Fran continue
that trend Baltimore trades a future two for one of the worst
offensive linemen in the NFL granted he can finally move
to center again and we'll see if
that ends up making a big difference Atlanta
is red hot right now and they're going home
there is upset alert up in the air
but I do think that with this quality defensive interior presence
from the Atlanta Falcons currently
which is such a weird thing to say because it's been an issue
for so long. I think it's going to be still a mismatch.
Ioane, in my opinion, is not fully
polished to where he's starting the way that we kind
of hoped he would. Not saying that he's bad
in any way, shape, or form,
but I would say I don't think of him as a pro bowl level player
off the bat, which is what a lot of people were considering.
So I do think there are some
opportunities for some big mismatches in the trenches.
We're going to go with the Atlanta
Falcons pulling off a supposed upset over the Ravens.
And last but not least, Buffalo coming
off an embarrassing loss to New England
who was kind of limping on one leg the Rams barely beating
the Philadelphia Eagles that didn't have Lane Johnson
of all things it's kind of like a battle
of mid from two teams that we expected to be juggernauts
and the question is who's going to
bounce back more I think Buffalo has
a little bit more of a reason to bounce back the Rams
it doesn't seem like there's more I don't sense
the type of redemptive energy that the Buffalo
Bills need to have for this so I'm going to call an upset here
so to speak with the Buffalo Bills
beating the Rams in a very close game once again
a game I don't feel very confident in at all but
we'll see how that ends up panning out for us
that has all the games for the week let me know
what games you would have chose
differently love you see you later peace
