AI GeneratedThis video provides an update on the Pittsburgh Steelers' practice sessions, focusing on the latest injury reports, the return of a key linebacker, and potential roster shifts ahead of their Week 6 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Steelers are back at practice today
and we have some important updates regarding a few players
that came back to the field some new players
on that injury report that are a little concerning
and we have some quotes on a new linebacker
that has joined the linebacking corps a linebacker
that many Steelers fans can remember
and then a possible opportunity for a wide receiver and much
more hopefully you guys are having
a great Thursday recordings on a Wednesday will be
uploaded on a Thursday we got some news to get
into injury reports from yesterday's practice
we'll get into Thursday's practice and Wednesday's practice
and later date you know and some quotes
from some players and different stuff before we get
into all that want to remind you guys of course
as always to subscribe to the channel from all the videos from Nick
and I we really both appreciate

the notification bell and

as well again keep you guys up to all keep you guys
updated on everything that you guys need to know.
All right, let's hop into this injury report.
It's an interesting one. It definitely
is an interesting one, and it's a long one.
Tons of players. Let's start with the did not practice.
No Jalen Ramsey, no Roman Wilson.
That's not a surprise. No Ben Skoranek.
That also wasn't really a surprise. And then I'll go to the
bottom here. No Cam Hayward. Not a surprise.
They always do rest days. That's what it feels like,
especially for Cam and then with TJ as well,
who was limited, but he still was resting.
I think the big one here, no Keanu Benton.
This is not something I was expecting. I don't think
he got hurt in the Indianapolis game, but he didn't practice today.
The reason, an ankle injury.
Again, Thursday and Friday practice will give us just more information
on the severity or give us
an idea of what the severity would be.
But right now, no Keanu Benton, at least at practice,
which that's not a good sign
and then limited in practice we got Rico Dowdle Deshaun Elliott
Jamel Dean and TJ Watt like I mentioned TJ Watt it was for rest
so that's not a surprise uh Jamel
Dean back at practice I think that's big that's
that feels like that's really big um Deshaun
Elliott limited in practice again like I've
talked about seems like he's ramping up to return
somewhat soon to the Steelers team
which is great news to hear and then same with Rico Dowdle
it feels like we're about to get Rico Dowdle back for Tampa Bay
so I think this is just kind of that
first step in this week to you know really start
getting him ramped up I got a tweet here kind of
going these are the major ones
that I've already really talked about again big deal Jamel Dean's
back and then with DeShawn Elliott
and Rico Dowdle continuing you know to work back to being healthy
and being back on the team I think those are both really big deals
but man Keanu Benton was not
surprised by this. Keanu has been okay.
I'm curious what you guys think about Keanu. He's
been, I think by his nature with what he does as a defensive lineman,
which is not so much
to pass rush. It's more to run stop.
be that immovable force in the middle of the defensive
line. Let's just say hypothetically he doesn't play against Tampa Bay.
Hypothetically. How big
of a loss is this because Gabe Rubio just played against Indianapolis.
He played great. You already
have Y.A. Black, who's been playing really well.
Keanu Benton, who they just paid a lot of money.
You don't want to see him getting hurt like this.
And again, maybe tomorrow comes, well, actually,
again, this will be coming out on Thursday.
Maybe, you know, the rest of today or Friday
comes around and Keanu's okay.
And then it's just, this is a non-issue, but not practicing at all on
an ankle injury it would be one thing if he
was limited not practicing that's not a fantastic
sign obviously hoping right for Keanu to you know
be on the field against Tampa Bay you know
obviously but yeah pretty interesting
a lot again like I mentioned laundry list of names I count
nine on nine total with five of those not practicing at all
so we will again we'll monitor
this stuff see how it progresses as we inch closer
and closer to the game against the Buccaneers
Before we get into some quotes, we have some players,
a returning player that I think a lot
of fans are really getting riled up about, rightfully so.
I want to talk about our sponsor
for today, and that, of course, is Calshi.
On Calshi, you're trading against other users,
not against the house, like other sportsbooks
that you guys might think of. You're buying yes
or no contracts on things like sports, politics,
the weather, and you can, of course, trade on
Sunday's game from the Steelers and the Buccaneers.
Steelers currently around a 60% chance to win that game.
And if you do want to drop $25 on,
trade $25 on the Steelers to win that game,
get yourself around $42.
If you want to try out Cal Sheet at all,
use the link in our description and in the pinned comment
and use code DIGESTNFL, which looks like this on your screen,
and you'll get $55 added
to your account instantly after you trade your first $25.
All right, let's hop into the Landon Robert news.
This is not like breaking, breaking news.
This has been, I think, for a few days now.
I want to say maybe Monday,
I think it was announced that he was coming back, but now
he's back at practice.
This is someone that,
if you remember Nick and I's videos before the season, someone
that we were both perplexed almost that he didn't make the roster.
He almost felt like he was definitely going
to make it, especially since they brought
him back.
They let him go.
no team picked him up
and now here we are uh you know going into week six now and here comes
Atlanta Roberts this is from Nick Fairball Atlanta Roberts says
while he was away from the steelers
he had a personal issue that would have caused him
to miss time with the team anyways but now
it's cleared up this is big information maybe
this is why the steelers felt the need to part
ways with him temporarily obviously it all worked out
because now they're back together but he said
he had interest from multiple teams
but chose to return to the Steelers again also love to hear
that i would i'm curious to see what those other teams
were you know some possible linebacker
linebacker needy teams that might have wanted Robert's services
but again he's back with the
with the Steelers i'd love to see it he
was comfortable with the players and the coaching
staff around him also not that much
of a surprise i saw something as well he has been practicing so
hard between being cut and coming back to the Steelers uh practicing
so hard that he wasn't
sore after practice today that he wasn't really
winded after practice today this is a player that
is seemingly ready to go i'll be very interested interested
to see how much he's on the field
week six i would expect him especially if he keeps ramping up
and he's playing well i expect him to
be borderline a starting linebacker
for the team i know it's kind of like a rotation right now with
guys like Queen Wilson uh Holcomb names like
that but just love to he brings such a different
dynamic than all the other linebackers on the team right now.
Peyton Wilson is a pass-defending
genius. I'll say that. He's great because he's so athletic,
but when it comes to stopping the run,
not that great. It's kind of the same with Patrick Queen.
He's kind of his both. He's not really
a master in one area over the other.
Landon Roberts is a run stopper, run stuffer,
gap pusher, gap runner.
However you want to frame him, he's awesome at it. So just to have that
dynamic is dynamic back on the team like obviously
with his prior stint with the Steelers he was he
was great man I wasn't perfect obviously
but the moments that he had were really good I always
remember I know they lost this game I remember
that goal line play against the Cowboys two years
ago I think it was two years ago where he nearly made one
of the craziest fumbles of all time and
obviously Steelers weren't able to get it they lost that game
but like that's just the type of
stuff you get from Roberts.
As you can tell, I'm hyped up that he's back. So hopefully we'll see
him week six, but move on from that.
I want to talk about Brandon Smith. We've been mentioning
other receivers that the Steelers could possibly go after,
but no one's really talking about
Brandon Smith. Steelers wide receiver Brandon Smith expected
to get more chances this week
with the injuries in the wide receiver room.
So this has been a long time coming for him from
UDFA to the UFL to being cut again
and now to the Steelers practice squad and now seemingly
going to suit up and get some PT
on um sunday i mean i don't know what you guys feel about this
i mean if they're not going to go get one i could go get
a receiver i know nick and i have talked
about plethora of receivers the you know
the steelers could hypothetically go get but i almost
think realistically they're going to rock with brandon smith
and see what he got and see what
he has and who's to say he doesn't show you know
he doesn't add some element to the offense i'm not
saying he's going to, he's not,
I'm not saying he's going to catch five balls for 60 yards and
maybe a touchdown, but maybe he's good on special teams.
Maybe he can, you know, be on the field as
a receiver and maybe he's not catching the ball,
but maybe he's running good routes and opposing
defenses have to think about him.
I think that is maybe not enough, but I think for what you
could possibly get out of Brandon Smith
and we're going to see what we get out of him could be worse,
right and this was a quote uh from Brandon Smith
as well he's been waiting for his shot so he's
this is a hungry player that is gonna seemingly
be we'll see if he's ready for the moment but I
think Brandon himself he feels like he's ready
so we'll see, we will see, and then gotta quickly
jump on this, I think Nick mentioned this in a video yesterday
but Steelers and I had an extensive
video on Jalen Warren giving him more love than
I'm sure he could handle yesterday um but yeah
Steelers running back Jalen Warren
as one AFC offensive player of the week, don't you just love
to see that, love to see not defensive player
of the week, offensive player of the week, the Steelers
had an offensive player
of the week, usually it's defense, usually it's TJ or Cam or when we had
Minkah maybe it was Minkah or any of those players
but Jalen Warren has been a godsend to this team
so hopefully he can keep on rolling with that but that's going
to do it for everything that I have
today I'll be back really soon probably diving more
into everything just that's coming out of
practice as we ramp up and move closer towards
this week six matchup against Tampa Bay. Feeling
pretty good about the team.
Honestly, I feel pretty dang good about it. Better than I felt
a few weeks ago. Hopefully, you guys have a great rest
of your day. I'll see you guys very, very soon.
