It was a great game, a great bounce back win for this team after losing 5-1 to the Anaheim Ducks their last time out. They take that and turn it into a big momentum win over this Minnesota Wild that's really going to carry them through these next couple of games. Let's talk about everything that went right in this game. It was a great game for the Winnipeg Jets. A lot of key performers in this one, and Stu, again, standing tall for this team, which is great to see, so let's see what happens here. Winnipeg Jets rebound against the Minnesota Wild, and yes, it was a great game where we do end up coming up with the win in a 5-2 victory over the Minnesota Wild. It was great to see our team show up, beat this team on a big game. We talked about how big it was yesterday for them to go out and get this win, and what it would mean for them going forward. and, I mean, they're going to be on a roll right now. I think coming off of this high of beating one of the best teams in the league, you can really kind of see now how great this team is and how ready they are to really compete this year. And beating a team like that really gives you guys a lot of confidence, a lot of guys in the locker room, a lot of confidence that you can go out and get the job done this year and get back to the playoffs. So I got a lot of faith in this team. I got to be honest with you guys, after last night's win, we see here at the end of the first it was tied two to two and then Perfetti and Scheifele scored for the Jets Scheifele getting his first of the year that was something we talked about a couple days ago now he was still goalless and we wanted to see him get back on the board he comes out and do it does it in a big way here against the Minnesota Wild and a tough opponent which was great to see in the second period it was up three at three Jets go up three to two in this period they beat up on the Minnesota Wild just holding them to three shots in that period where the shots were 13-3 and that really just changed the tides for the Winnipeg Jets as the momentum came on our side after beating them up in this period and we go on to win this game as we see here Anaheim wins 5-2 we lose that game and then we get the bounce back here in this one we tie the game 2-2 as Kaprizov answer both the Jets leads and then the Jets take control we see here 13-3 shot advantage and Perfetti scores the winner which was great to see Perfetti again being that guy for this team being uh mr mr reliable for this team which is great to see uh we'd love to see him every game he's all over the ice and Perfetti is one of the best players on this team in my opinion and a guy who's just all over it every night like 200 foot player you love to see it and you see here why this win builds confidence for this team respond after a difficult loss regrouped after two tying goals and controlled the second period you know after they tie the game twice that you can easily get down on yourself and let the lead and let the game slip they didn't they bit down on the mouth guard went to battle and they come out with this win and it's great to see that that you know not what these two tying goals can deflate you you just kind of go okay we gotta go get another one right like that's the mindset we need to have and that's the mindset we had last night and add to the lead in the third which is great to see after you know dominating there then they're in that second period and i did just want to highlight this comment from you guys say Shively and Vigo will start scoring around the same time I have a strong feeling that they'll both get a goal versus Minnesota so you were right about one you know you got Shively scoring against Wild just want to you know highlight that comment so comment down below you never know when you're going to be featured here on the channel but let's go into Cole Perfetti Perfetti powers Winnipeg's response uh we love to see Perfetti have this season he's having and just breaking out on this top line with Shively and Connor two goals for him last night leading to two points 18 minutes on ice last night which is great to see uh and a power play goal as well so uh yeah it's a great great game by perfetti last night he's just been on an absolute rampage this this season it's been unbelievable just looking over the last you know about six games is it uh we see him here like how he's been effective as point scoring wise goal scoring guy wise he's only gone two games without scoring over this last little stretch in only one game without getting a point so it just shows how good of a player he is how dominant he's been for this team and just uh just how great he has been this season just showing his impact which has been phenomenal looking at his goal that was the winner last night comes from the right circle there on the left side towards the hash marks nice little shot across the goaltender there and into the net so uh great to see Perfetti pick up another game winning goal on his resume which he will have a lot of them to come here this season if he keeps up on this pace and obviously we see here Connor uh Kyle Connor makes a spin move in the slot and he goes off the iron and in Kyle Connor keeps adding to his total getting more goals on the year for him putting the Jets up four to two in this which ultimately was the dagger for them to win this game which is great to see and then Scheifele as well gets his first of the season that's so great to see we were kind of want to get him on the goal sheet so that you know kind of is off her shoulder is off his shoulders now and now we can just kind of play more freely doesn't have to worry about getting that first one and I think the goals are just going to start coming you know really fast for this player now Mark Scheifele so it's great to see him get his first on on the board last night and then Kyle Connor gets two points again last night another goal he keeps that goal scoring streak up he's been on fire to start this year KFC he's going to have another meal by the end of this one for sure he's just been playing unbelievable hockey scoring a lot of goals putting himself in the right positions to be successful individually and to make the team successful as well, which is great to see as well. And obviously, Stu gets back in the net, and he helps close out the win last night. It was great to see him back in net and really take control again. We see him last night, 19 saves for a 9.05 save percentage, looking very good in the Winnipeg Navy and Red. He's been so good this season, putting up some insane numbers, and it's just great to see, you know, obviously a lot of the last three starts have been very high quality. You see here all over 900, he had 943 and 941, now a 905, and just really rebounded after that first start of the year, and it's been great to see him now come in here. He has a lot of confidence, he has the fan base behind him, and it's great to see him take advantage of this opportunity and really become the best goaltender that he can be. And, you know, still in the prime years of his goaltending career, we got a goaltender to definitely, you know, be proud of, and a guy that we love to see in the net every night and and I know the fans in the Canada Life Center love to see him there as well which is great and obviously Stu makes a big save there you see here that you know was a could have been an own goal but you know Stu comes up big here and you know this is Michael Russo talking about an incident that happened in the game you guys remember it and then you know we kind of just look at when the Jets are leading tied or trailing when they're leading with a 3-0-1-1 when they're tied they haven't gone to overtime yet and then when they're trailing they're 1-1 so you know that's how the record is looking so far this season we're three one and one here now to start the season which is great to see and we love to see that right we love this or four four one four one and one to start the year not three one and one sorry gotta add quick add my quick math there guys but yeah four one one is a great start to the season for this team and what we need to do going forward is just you know limit the turnovers into the offensive zone that's kind of what we did this game and it really uh it led to our success stay connected when protecting the lead we did that obviously we uh they tied the game up twice but we stayed together as a unit went out and got another one and perfetti wins the game for us and uh you know we come out with a win against a big team I can't emphasize how big this win is for us it really shows us as Jets fans that we can you know go out there and beat the big competition it gives us a lot of confidence guys and i think going into these next couple of games, we're going to need it. You just got to keep the pressure on and then give the goalie clear sight lines, which is kind of what we've been doing over the last little while. Just kind of looking here now, Winnipeg Jets can carry belief into Chicago, which should be a good win for this Winnipeg Jets team, in my opinion. Just looking where they're at right now, they're tied for second in the Central Division with Utah man having an unbelievable start to the year for them. But yeah, 4-1 and 1 within 9 points on the season. We're tied for the Minnesota Wild. big is a big win for us to tie with them in points as they were on nine points before this game so that's great to see and if we kind of just take a look at our trajectory where the points have gone after the first couple of games they've skyrocketed look you see like we're gone then we're a bit stagnant there and now we're up again up into the nine threshold and just looking at the special teams have been great power play 31% penalty killed 92% it's been great special teams have really led have been a big factor in us winning a lot of these games getting a lot of power play goals and just converting when we had the extra man has been leading to us winning a lot of games so we got to keep that up like our team is so good on the power play we've got so many great weapons there and we're utilizing them perfectly which is great to see and just kind of looking at the next uh test ahead like we alluded to we're up against the Blackhawks now tomorrow night so uh you know obviously Bedard's back now playing with Patrick Kane so who knows they got a big win uh last night i believe was against the Pittsburgh Penguins so they're coming off a bit of momentum too so we need to take our momentum and beat them on the road so uh hopefully we can get that one done and then uh you know obviously we have the Carolina Hurricanes there on Saturday and that's going to be on the right at home at the Canada Life Center so that's going to be a tough matchup so for the rest of the week i think if we can kind of split these games if we can take these two and over the next couple of days and games i'd be very happy with it but the Hurricanes is going to be the toughest test for us so far this season uh so we just got to come in, beat the Blackhawks, carry this momentum forward and if we can go in as a Saturday with on a win streak, I think we can come out of here now and beat the Hurricanes. I really do think the Hurricanes are a very deep team. They're a very deep roster and it's a team that is going to give us a tough test and hopefully we can take this momentum like we did and we turned it into a win against the Minnesota Wild. Now we carry that forward into Chicago we win that one we carry it forward into our toughest test of the season so far which is the Carolina Hurricanes and it's going to be a fun one guys Saturday night so hopefully we can win this one and hopefully you all guys enjoyed this video let me know what your guys favorite part of this season has been so far let me know down below in the comment section while you're down there leave a like subscribe to the channel as always i'm your host KC keep sticking on the ice
