Hello everyone, welcome to Yu-Gi-Oh! Talks Movies.
Let's savour films and savour life.
On a yacht full of billionaires, an award-winning reporter joins the launch ceremony.
She accidentally sees a woman from Cabin 10 fall into the sea.
But no one believes her.
According to the guest list, Cabin 10 is empty.
Fear starts to grow inside her.
This plot comes from the UK-US mystery film The Woman in Cabin 10,
directed by Simon Stone and starring Keira Knightley and Gugu Mbatha-Raw.
It's adapted from Ruth Ware's novel and released worldwide on 10 October 2025.
Now, let's enter the film.
Anne Lindstedt, heiress of a Norwegian shipping company, is dying of leukemia.
Her husband Richard plans to build a foundation under her name
and take the board these billionaires on the luxury yacht Northern Lights to Norway for a charity gala.
Because Laura Blacklock once wrote a powerful article about brave Kurdish women,
Anne admires her and invites her on board to boost the foundation's influence.
Laura's boss feels something is off.
But in a world losing its humanity, such a story is needed.
Laura insists on going.
She's brought onto the yacht by a small boat.
Her ex-boyfriend is also there. Awkward greetings follow.
He's in Cabin 8.
A doctor, Meta, stays in Cabin 2 near Anne to care for her.
Richard is an old friend of the doctor.
On deck, Laura first sees Anne.
After greeting the rich guests, they start this light yet unexpected journey.
While looking at the sea, Laura sees a cigarette butt thrown from the next cabin.
She tosses it into the trash, proving someone is inside but she thinks little of it.
At dinner, Laura dresses up stunningly.
She bumps into her ex in the hallway, panics, hides inside Cabin 10,
and briefly sees a suspicious woman.
Feeling awkward, she leaves.
After dinner, Security Chief Sigrid brings Laura to Anne's room.
Anne praises her, says she personally invited her.
Anne is weak and has stopped treatment.
She asks Laura to polish her speech for the charity event.
She plans to donate all her wealth, not leave it to Richard.
They agree to talk more the next day.
Walking back, her ex seems to be waiting for her.
After deep apologies and reflection, she forgives him their relationship might rekindle.
That night, Laura wakes from a nightmare and looks outside for air.
She suddenly sees the woman in the next cabin fall into the sea,
leaving a blood smear on the partition.
She reports it immediately.
The Coast Guard comes.
They check everyone, no one is missing.
Security says no one is assigned to Cabin 10.
Then Laura finds the blood and cigarette butt gone.
Panic grows.
The yacht loses signal.
Systems glitch.
She keeps pushing Richard and the crew to check.
That night, she tries talking to Anne again.
Anne seems to forget their appointment.
She says medication makes her unwell, contradicting her claim she had stopped treatment.
Laura then finds a photo on her ex's laptop the same woman from Cabin 10,
taken months ago at a party.
She shows Richard, but faces doubt.
Even Dr. Mehta suggests she might be hallucinating.
Richard warns her gently to stop and sends her to a deep steam sauna.
There, she finds stop written on the glass, but no sign of who wrote it.
For the billionaire's comfort, surveillance is off.
No proof.
She suddenly thinks if the woman showered, her hair would be in the drain.
She risks her life entering Cabin 10 and finds the woman's hair.
She tells her ex, who urges her to keep a low profile.
Offending elites brings danger.
Laura goes to the crew's rest area to investigate.
But Dr. Mehta catches her.
Returning to her room, she finds a button that isn't hers someone broke in.
Later, while watching from the second floor as her ex photographs a lady,
someone pushes Laura into the pool and shuts the cover trying to kill her.
She barely survives.
Her ex, Mehta, and Richard question her.
Laura notices Mehta missing a sleeve button, the same kind she found.
He must have entered her room.
Security then loses her hair evidence.
Her persistence makes everyone uneasy.
As the guests leave early, the atmosphere turns eerie.
At night, someone knocks.
A shadow leads her to the lower deck, warning her to stop or be killed.
Suddenly, she unmasks the figure. It's Anne.
Someone strikes her, knocking her out.
She wakes locked in the lower deck.
Thinking back, she realizes this Anne is fake.
Piecing it together, the woman who fell into the sea was the real Anne murdered by Richard.
He likely couldn't accept Anne donating everything and cutting him out.
So he planned the whole trip.
The fake Anne named Carly tearfully confesses Richard used AI facial recognition to find someone who looked like Anne.
After killing the real Anne, he made Carly impersonate her for one day to sign a forged will.
Then the deal would end.
Before a ruin the plan, Carly finally spills the truth.
God, I've been so stupid. It was Palmer. It was Palmer, wasn't it?
He knew that Anne was disinheriting him.
I didn't think he was going to kill her.
I was only meant to pretend to be Anne for one day, to meet with some lawyers, sign a will.
He just said it would be like acting.
Have a play and tell me what you think.
There's this software, some kind of facial recognition.
He approached me over Facebook.
He invited me to this party in London.
Paid for everything.
I've never been offered so much money.
You need to be comfortable.
But suddenly there are two Anne's on the yacht.
Richard panics and kills the real Anne, throwing her into the sea.
This is a classic murder case.
It's exactly what Laura saw that night.
Richard destroyed the evidence afterward.
Carly keeps apologizing she did it for her daughter.
Laura urges her to stop the madness.
If Richard succeeds, he'll kill her too.
After all the chaos, Richard still stages romantic fireworks with his fake wife.
He orders Carly to kill Laura, using dirt from media coverage to threaten her.
Carly warns Laura instead.
Laura urges her to expose the lies together.
Without realizing it, Carly leads her back to the lower deck and saves her life.
The yacht nears shore. Guests prepare to disembark.
Meta searches everywhere for Laura.
Her ex can't find her either.
Worried, he cancels his departure and goes back in.
He meets Meta and his men attacking Laura in the control room.
They want to kill her.
Just as all hope fades, her ex rushes in.
But he's struck by a poisoning and, with his last strength, fights Meta and dies.
Laura jumps into the sea to escape him.
Richard orders Meta to kill Carly after she signs.
During the board meeting, Carly signs the fake book.
That night, she goes to the gaol.
Laura arrives outside, finds Sigrid the security chief,
gives him Anne's real will,
and promises to prove everything.
Security on two, please.
Please. Anne is dead.
I just saw Anne with her lawyers.
Did she change her will?
Did she sign all her money over to Bulma?
Told me that she was disinheriting him.
The night you took me to her, that's the night that Anne went overboard.
Bulma killed her.
That woman has been impersonating her ever since.
Bulma paid her to do it. Look, look.
Read it.
It's the speech Anne intended to give tonight.
Laura sneaks into the hall.
Before everyone, she grabs the mic and tells the truth.
Carly cooperates.
Richard tries to stop her.
The crowd supports Laura.
She reads Anne's original will.
Richard's lies collapse.
Desperate, he takes Carly hostage.
Just as he tries to flee, Sigrid shoots him.
Laura ends him and saves Carly.
As in all stories, justice defeats evil.
The film shows that only by bravely telling the truth and exposing lies
can innocent lives be protected and evil be revealed and punished.
Laura and Carly's courage recalls the global case of Yu Meng Long's fall.
As the truth is uncovered, the depth of the evil becomes shocking.
If Yu Meng Long had, like them, revealed the truth at any cost,
the outcome might have been different.
Even if life ends, its final light can still expose darkness.
The case is not only a tragedy but also a warning,
reminding us that there may be another Yu Meng Long.
His story has become a mark of justice and a spark for change.
Public discussion and overseas media reports
have formed a force strong enough to break through the iron curtain.
Every effort from those who stand for justice is a heavy blow to criminal networks.
Let us continue to pay attention, speak out for truth,
and stand on the side of justice using our actions to write a powerful chapter in life.
