The Cowboys are in SERIOUS trouble...
Oct 9, 2026
Video Summary
AI GeneratedThe Dallas Cowboys suffered a devastating 24-16 loss to the winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The performance was described as an absolute disaster, characterized by systemic failures across the offense, defense, and coaching staff, leaving the team at a 2-3 record.
This is an absolute disaster.
The Dallas Cowboys looked like they couldn't even beat Allen High School tonight
as they lose to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 24 to 16,
and what is a miserable, miserable loss? It's not one issue.
It's not Christian Parker. It's not Brian Schottenheimer.
It's not the offensive capabilities, the defensive capabilities.
It was everything. Everything came and culminated tonight into one of the one
of one of the worst performances I might have ever seen from the Dallas Cowboys.
Welcome back to Cowboys Digest, everybody. I appreciate you watching,
and I hope you're having a great day wherever you go, wherever you might be.
If you joined us on the stream tonight, want to say thank you.
We're live for every Cowboys game. We got some new stuff.
We're going to show that new stuff off in the show. But let's just go
into this and start with the score and everything that comes with it.
So I mean, kind of see the chat right there, but we'll hide that for now.
Prescott goes for 316. Pickens goes for 130. And Flano had 90 receiving yards.
But it's the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers,
with Jane Daniels or Jalen Daniels who had 189 passing yards.
Bucky Irving had 165 rushing yards, and Johnson had 64 receiving yards. 24 to 16.
There's so much to talk about. One thing to note, obviously, is that guess what?
CD Lamb did leave this game with an injury.
He returned to the locker room after exiting the game with a quad injury.
So we don't have any update on that, obviously, right now.
And in a lot of ways, it's not exactly what you want to see,
and it definitely just adds to the entirety of what this week was.
Now, if you were like me and you traded on Cal Sheet for the Dallas Cowboys
to win this game, you would not get your money back.
But I mean, there are much smarter people in this world,
so make sure you go check out our presenting sponsor, Cal Sheet,
and trade on some of the other Week Five games coming up,
and be a lot smarter than what I did because I just lost this money.
But hey, some people might have known to not bet or not trade on the Dallas Cowboys.
So on Cal Sheet, you're trading directly against other users,
not against the house like an additional sports book.
You're buying yes or no contracts in the outcome events across sports,
politics, or even the weather, for example.
Now, if you are interested in trying out our presenting sponsor, Cal Sheet,
you can use the link in the description of this video or in the pinned comment.
I mean, use this code DIGEST NFL. New users who trade twenty five dollars will get
an extra fifty five dollars immediately put into their pot.
So again, we appreciate Cal Sheet and go check them out today.
Let's talk about the box score and I guess everything that kind of goes
in with that. And we'll start worst start first with the Dallas Cowboys
and kind of what they looked like here.
Dak Prescott looked pretty bad throughout most of the game,
twenty four for forty two, three sixteen and a touchdown.
George Pickens was the leading receiver.
I mean, that's great, but at the end of the day, it wasn't meant meaning much.
Like he had the touchdown that you know
at the time you thought this was a great time.
You were going to be trailing twenty four to seventeen, right?
You were going to be able to be right there and go out.
And in a lot of ways, guess what? You'd been down seven points, but.
Forgot, they decided they wanted to go for two.
Don't know why they wanted to go for two. Don't know why they did go for two.
It didn't end up mattering because they didn't score the touchdown.
Because Jake Ferguson, doesn't have hands tonight.
Apparently dropped about five passes toward him.
But if they would have gotten the touchdown and not got the two one conversion,
you're questioning that. So I'm going to question it anyway.
It's it's just hilarious. Jake Ferguson,
speaking of which, had the game losing drop.
Is what I'm going to call it. Went right through his hands,
bounced off his helmet, and Alex Anzalone picked it off.
And simple as that, one, two, three,
rough night for pretty much everybody on this Cowboys team.
Now, when you look at the.
Total box score, you're noticing that C.D. Lamb, is not really there.
In fact, you can't even see him on the top receivers.
Why? Because he had two receptions for nine yards.
A week after his history performance, this is what happens.
Prescott misses him multiple times. One of which for a touchdown.
And, you just stare and look at this offense and say, "What the hell happened?"
The defense couldn't stop water from running down and uphill.
I mean, Allen High School could have done a better job out there.
Pee-wee football could have done a better job out there.
Look at the stats they put up against you, Jalen Daniels.
Jalen freaking Daniels, a UDF out of Kansas. All respect to him, great player.
He should not have done this to you. Nineteen for twenty-five,
twenty-three rushing yards, one eighty-nine in the air, one touchdown.
The big thing though was Bucky Irving,
165 rushing yards with a touchdown on 21 carries.
Two receptions for 10 yards, 72 on the long.
Ridiculous, absolutely freaking ridiculous.
It's frustrating. It's hard to point out
and say that this was the problem or this was the problem.
And it's it's infuriating. This team cannot get out of their own way.
So where do we go from here? Where do you go from here?
Because the the amount of rushing yards they had,
you look to Christian Parker and say your job's on the hot seat now.
With the amount of bad play calls we had,
you look at Brian Schottenheimer and say, your job's on the on it right now.
That's horrible. 0 and 14 at home, prime time.
Undrafted rookie QB at home in his second start in his NFL career.
You lose.
What excuse do you have for that?
What changes do you have to make?
You can't just have this happen and then be like, "All right, reset next week."
It's not how that works. Can't be how it works. It can't be how it works.
Brian Schottenheimer looks overwhelmed. Christian Parker looks unqualified.
The defense hopelessly sucks. Remains soft.
Dr. Prescott was completely off, lifeless, and I'm glad they didn't complete
the comeback because they need to feel the embarrassment.
I don't. I don't know what to say.
On top of all this, Joey Porter Jr. was out this game because he was very sick when
he arrived at the facility, and they sent him home at like 5:50 p.m. Central Time.
Credit to Ryan Flanoy. Credit to George Pickens.
They made the right choices. Did some right things.
I thought that we would have seen more from Camontae Turpin, given the return.
Excuse me, Javante Williams, given the return of Tyler Smith, but.
The turnovers are the big things.
You turn the ball over three times in the second half.
Dak Prescott throws two picks, both of which I would say are not his fault.
One off the hands of Jake Ferguson. Oh, excuse me.
Two off the hands of Jake Ferguson.
So two picks for Jake Ferguson. None for Dak Prescott.
And then Camante Turpin, in the first time in his NFL career,
fumbled on a kickoff return.
What's funny is you lost this game, and you only lost by eight.
The way that this game felt, the way that this game looked,
I believe you should have lost by twenty, and yet you lost by eight.
So yeah, I agree. I'm glad they lost this game.
They need to feel the embarrassment. They need to realize that this is unacceptable,
horrendous football, and they need to figure out what to do from here on out.
And they need to figure out quick.
Because nothing's changing anytime soon.
I don't think they're gonna fire Christian Parker four, five games into his tenure.
Don't they're gonna do anything with any of this, like it's.
错。
Next game is going to be against the Packers next Sunday, 7:20 p.m. Central Time.
On Sunday Night Football, and the potential is there for Michael Parsons
to make his return. I doubt it, but the potential is there.
Then of course you've got the Philadelphia Eagles at 7:15 Central Time,
the week after on Monday Night Football. Before you have two noon kickoffs.
One of them versus the Cardinals at 12 p.m. One of them versus the Colts,
at 12 p.m. Central Time.
Then you've got three straight home games: Niners, Titans, Eagles.
You have time to figure this out.
You're two and three.
And you are in a position, where the the NFC stinks.
I don't think the I don't think the Giants
are that amazing, especially without Jackson Dart.
But I can't sit here and say the NFC stinks, and not say they also do stink.
Tonight was abysmal. Tonight needs to be fixed.
Tonight needs to be addressed in a major way.
And there has to be repercussions.
Appreciate you watching. Have a great day. Peace out.
