Rep. John Moolenaar: "The CCP has also been rewriting the Bible and other sacred texts."
"...in the Henan Province, churches have been forced to remove the Ten Commandments and replace them with quotes from Xi Jinping. The message is unmistakable: worship the party, or else."
Rep. Moolenaar, along with several other members of Congress, spoke at the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom's 2025 Annual Report release event in Washington, DC, on March 25th.
The CCP has also been rewriting the
Bible and other sacred texts. Not to
clarify them but to corrupt them,
twisting spiritual truth into
communist propaganda. One of the worst
examples appeared in a Chinese
university textbook where Jesus is
portrayed stoning the adulterous
woman to death, an egregious and
deliberate inversion of the gospel's
message. Another example, in the Henan
province, churches have been forced
to remove the Ten Commandments and
replace them with quotes from Xi
Jinping. The message is
unmistakable, worship the party, or
else.
